We asked the teachers if we could do that, and they seemed a little unsure, but then allowed it on the condition that we keep the doors closed so that no younger kids could hear us. I’ve missed that school since I graduated. So many good memories, particularly of stuff other schools wouldn’t allow you to do. For example, that time they let my friend and I duel outside with foam polo bats during lunch…for an entire quarter of a semester. It became our thing, and we would even get hockey shin pads to strap to our arms as makeshift shields.
