Not a huge fan of these initial setups, and space marines take so long to kill that it’s not very dynamic, but I have to admit that I was pretty shocked by the number left by the end of the battle. Kind of wish the losing side was able to rally right at the end, but so close / exciting just the same

I think there are options that show how close the battle will be. You can adjust the numbers to get a "close match" and that causes a nailbiting finish.
