Whenever I was pregnant with my oldest son I never knew I was having contractions, and I went to my 40 week appointment and they was like uh you’re in labor. With my second son, his dad was like why don’t you pretend you’re in labor so we can go to the hospital so I don’t have to work tomorrow... well, I was in full blown labor, like dilated to 6 and didn’t know it. With my daughter, I was pouring the blood so I went to the hospital and I was just getting bad cramps so I went to the hospital. Was dilated to 7 but only when i was in a contraction and it took the dr figuring that out. Nurses tried sending me home, 😂 Point of my story is be careful with contractions and I hope she comes soon cause I can’t wait to see her !!!
If in doubt see Dr about swollen hands and feet hun! I had pre eclampsia at the end of my first pregnancy and didn't realize how potentially dangerous it was. All the very best. I love watching you and your beautiful family. Sharing your journey has been and continues to be a gift and an honor. I pray for you both often and always am excited to watch your success, milestones and blessings but also to share your tears. Thank you so much. My children (Alex 8 & Luke 6) live with there grandparents as I have long term health problems and it has been a huge grief for my boys and I but having a outlet and ways to find joy in other places sometimes on my darkest days has kept me going. Rachelle, If you drink water it will help with the fluid retention,(swelling in your hands, face and feet ). The swelling is common in the last few months of pregnancy. Reducing your salt intake helps too. You both are more then ready for baby Emma. The beautiful little ones teach us as they grow. You both are going to be Great parents. I leave to go to a bible camp on Friday and I won’t be back for almost 2 weeks. The camp I’m going to is literally in the middle of nowhere so we have no service or wifi over there and I’m probably going to miss Emma being born and I’m so stinkin sad about it 😭😭 I will still be thinking and praying for you guys though!
So exciting that she's almost here! With checking for dilation, just keep in mind that it's not mandatory! You could be at a "0" then go into labor and delivery within hours, or you could be dilated to 3cm for a month (for example). It also can introduce bacteria by checking. So you are free to tell them no thank you if you want! I waited to be checked once I was at the hospital in active labor with all 3 of mine. And my water didn't break until pushing with all 3 either.
O.MG. The smoke and ash is so bad! Every morning I get up it literally smells like smoke inside my house. And I opened the door this morning to let my dog out, and it was thick and so strong of smoke. I had looked at my naghbers car, and It was covered with ash!😓😲. I feel so bad for the Firefighters, 1 was killed and several were injured! I have COPD and were oxygen, so I try not to go out at all. I live in Oakhurst, Ca. As of today the fire had burned 3000 acres and was only 26 percent contained. So sad for all the people that are being evacuated. And all of the people that come to Yousimity park from all around the world had to leave. So sad. I pray that know one else gets hurt or looses there life. By the way you are absolutely glowing! I know you probably don't feel like you are? But you have a beautiful glow!😜. I can't wait for you to have your sweet little girl. You might be early, my 2nd and 3rd Daughters were very close together and she came early and pretty quickly. This is your second birth, so I'm praying for you that she comes early and that you have a short labor!👨👩👧👧💕. You 2 are going to be amazing parents! My prayers will be your way, during such a magical time! I got to watch my Grandson be born, and it's amazing!!! So get ready Daddy! Your going to do wonderful Mommy!💗🤗

We have a lot of fires in Canada too. I live in a fly in only community and one time there was a fire so close that the air was so thick with smoke. That fire burned all summer. Lots of people got evacuated but lots of people were forced to stay. So we breathed in that smoke for months and it was so bad. A few minutes of being outside I’d get light headed.
My hands got so swollen as well at the end of my pregnancy, and they hurt really bad.. especially in the mornings when waking up. My ob told me it was carpal tunnel, and thankfully went right away after labor. The things that happen during pregnancy is crazy!

Rachelle one of the first things I have told all of my pregnant clients when they said they were having some sporadic contractions too early was to drink about 12-16 ounces of water, eat something high in protein and just sit down and rest. Usually one of those 3 things would solve the random light contraction issue. With the high temperatures right now it would not be surprising for you to need a little extra water. Also, swelling of hands and feet, as you know, can mean the blood pressure is up a bit. It might be a good idea to borrow a friends blood pressure cuff to have until you are induced just so you can have the peace of mind that things are o.k. Yesterday's video you said you had a headache and that it wasn't going away, that too can be a sign of raised blood pressure so it might be good to check. Interestingly enough, drinking 12-16 ounces of water, eating something rich in protein (especially eggs because of the albumin content) and resting can bring blood pressure down in pregnant women. The other thing that can help with high blood pressure and headaches is alternate nostril breathing, there are a lot of TH-cam videos on that and it is so easy to do it might be good for you to check it out.

Pack extra nipple pads. My hospital only gave me 4 with my daughter because I didn’t come prepared. She was an emergency induction because of preeclampsia. I’m going to pick some extra things up that I forgot about today! It’s almost Tuesday! 💕 I hope your labor and delivery goes super smooth like I’ve been saying girly!

The smoke was so bad! I live right by Old Town Temecula! There was a fire in Fallbrook so we were getting all the smoke 😷 I’m pregnant too and made sure I didn’t leave our apartment!
I literally once ate an entire box of gushers in one sitting at the end of my pregnancy hahah the sugar cravings got so bad for me, that coffee maker is so cool, for such a good deal! I love catching good deals. Just some unwanted advice haha but I was so similar with just kinda being new to going naturally into labor and waiting for her at this time, people always told me that “I would know for sure” when it was labor contractions vs Braxton Hicks, that is 1000000% true with how it happened for me. I knew for sure that I was in labor like for sure a few days before (laboring at home for a minute before my water broke officially) but yeah I hope that helps a little haha you guys are soooo cute with anticipation for her. My husband's family (Aunt and Uncle) live up the mountain in Idyllwild and they went through a mandatory evacuation 4 days ago. We also lived in Anaheim last year for the "Canyon Fire 2" and I have never seen an "orange" sky before in my life- realized I can't do California wild fires. :/ Anyway, I remembered the news said to stay inside and use the air conditioner to filter the air. Even window and wall units can filter air- just not as good as an HVAC system. If air quality gets to low where you are at, do you know someone with central heat and air that you could just hang out with? Stay safe and all the best to you guys! I think they have BP kits at the store so you can take it at home with you. When I was 37 weeks, I woke up super swollen (face, hands & feet) and I took my BP and ended up in L&D. That’s when they first brought up me getting induced.

My son has the same swing! He loved to swing side to side up until 4 weeks but now at 5-1/2 weeks he prefers to swing back and forth.

We are in northern CA we have a huge fire burning a big part of town. It has looked like evening for the last 4 days! I hate the smoke

The smoke was so bad! I live right by Old Town Temecula! There was a fire in Fallbrook so we were getting all the smoke 😷 I’m pregnant too and made sure I didn’t leave our apartment!
I literally once ate an entire box of gushers in one sitting at the end of my pregnancy hahah the sugar cravings got so bad for me, that coffee maker is so cool, for such a good deal! I love catching good deals. Just some unwanted advice haha but I was so similar with just kinda being new to going naturally into labor and waiting for her at this time, people always told me that “I would know for sure” when it was labor contractions vs Braxton Hicks, that is 1000000% true with how it happened for me. I knew for sure that I was in labor like for sure a few days before (laboring at home for a minute before my water broke officially) but yeah I hope that helps a little haha you guys are soooo cute with anticipation for her. She’s a lucky weeone ❤️⭐️❤️

My husband's family (Aunt and Uncle) live up the mountain in Idyllwild and they went through a mandatory evacuation 4 days ago. We also lived in Anaheim last year for the "Canyon Fire 2" and I have never seen an "orange" sky before in my life- realized I can't do California wild fires. :/ Anyway, I remembered the news said to stay inside and use the air conditioner to filter the air. Even window and wall units can filter air- just not as good as an HVAC system. If air quality gets to low where you are at, do you know someone with central heat and air that you could just hang out with? Stay safe and all the best to you guys! I really enjoy watching your videos.

I think they have BP kits at the store so you can take it at home with you. When I was 37 weeks, I woke up super swollen (face, hands & feet) and I took my BP and ended up in L&D. That’s when they first brought up me getting induced.
