Funny comment, but in seriousness- it’s really not hard! Keep practicing, and you’ll be amazed at what you can do. I haven’t been playing guitar very long, and I’m half way through the song playing it flawlessly. I promise- it’s not hard.
@@bored-in-the-house3950 Try it. You’ll nail the first quarter in the first couple hours of practicing (of course, depending on your current skill level).
That was truly impressive my friend ,and you were playing along with Django! I could only really hear when there was two guitars doing the melody at those notes where the two guitars didn’t have the same intonation and so there was a chorus effect. Bloody brilliant and superbly executed
My love with Django's melodies started since Mafia game soundtrack. It was a perfect childhood for me, spending evenings after school playing this wonderful game)
This is really cool 😎 I got a new guitar last week, and I thought about what kinda style I wanna play on it, now I see this. And it’s gonna keep me busy for awhile. Thanks so much for the upload
I'm trying to figure out if you're doing the rest stroke and I notice during the descending arpgeggio lines you don't sweep, but I don't see you down picking it either.
django reinhardt is amazing but im still not advanced enough to play his songs :( where do I start? exercises?? because i already learned my major and minor scales
Lots of different musicians that played with django have said django did not rehearse before they recorded and he just pulled his solos out of the air. A good example is his 1946 recordings in london coquette and djangos tiger were off the cuff
Great, great job. I will start learning it today. I appreciate your hard work that makes it easy for the rest of us. Can you read music? Do you have to physically transcribe it all on paper as well?
Great job, i just advise you to work on your right hand technique and playing the pick and you'll have a better sound. look at the stochelo lesson, u'll find them on youtube
The player controls obscure the tab in places, which is an obstacle to working out the faster parts. i can read the music, but a clear view would make it a lot less time consumimg. can you help, please?
i feel like one part of this is a lie because ive been trying that little part of "3 2 3 4 2 3" for the past hour and a half and it sounds wrong, i feel like im going crazy
I have 5 fingers on left hand as normally... and I say that's not easy.🤔 Then I think Django used to play it with only 2.🤔🤔 And then my brain just explodes 💣💣💣😱
Good effort but sorry to say, not even close. Django played the opening with his right hand fingers, not pick. The first lick starts with a pull on 4th string 3rd fret. PM me. I'll prove it.
The playing is good - except for the nylon strings which are rubbish with this jazz form. Why on Earth use an I phone to record it - you ended up with a very low fidelity recording.
Robert Bright, This guy gave us tabs and a wonderful cover of this beautiful piece and you whine about how it was recorded and the strings? For me personally it was great. Go whine about something else
Django recorded it with his entire band on one ribbon mike which vibrated a stylus to make a groove in wax which was later translated to acetate and played on a gramophone that would generally sound like a John Deere tractor during a cold start in December. Give the guy a break, eh?
Is it necessary to get yourself trapped in a caravan fire too? Or to start living in a campsite in Belgium, playing billiards and smoking cigarettes? You know, for authenticity? Idiot.
The half truth lurking in your half witted attempt at commentary is that down arpeggios and up arpeggios were probably not fingered the same and made the rh rest stroking more digestible. But a knobheaded comment, first and foremost. Great job, OP!
Being able to play like that will only be seen in my dreams.

Thank you! You are the only one with chords!
David Plate you are going to keep me busy for a very long time. You are my new hero! We have the same taste in music.
John Fair Thanks John, Go for it!
I'm starting today. It's been a year since you commented. Have you got it yet? for me it might take me a good few days at least xD
I'm so happy this exists

Kyle Hill 😎 cool!
Wonderful.Thank you.
Finally I see a musician doing Dyango, I know him because Rory Gallagher saw him in New York and was impressed! Just fabulous
My love with Django's melodies started since Mafia game soundtrack. It was a perfect childhood for me, spending evenings after school playing this wonderful game)

Thank you for creating this lesson!
Thank you
Love it! Keep up the good work 👍. And thank you kindly for your generous offer of tabs
Great.
Thank you very much 🙂
Fantastic one , indeed !!
Outstanding!
Thanks for your great performance & the tab too.You have been working hard to play so.
Thanks for putting it in standard rather than octave notation. Much easier to read than multiple ledger lines. I'll play it on mandolin.
It actually *is* in octave notation, although the "8" does not appear under his treble clef.
Enorme MERCI , DAVID
ACE GUITARIST !! BRAVO !!!

Man Django was a genius.
Man this is a long solo! Killer job playing and transcribing
great work!!
Fantastic work! Gabriel Gronemeier said it best: Happy this exists.
Your transcription really make me exciting~
Problem now sorted. Thanks for your good work on probably my favourite Django solo.
Thanks Ian, have fun with the solo!

David Plate--genius concept!!
Thanks alot mate, very helpful. Lee from England aged 53 and a half.
Thank you very much
Awesome! Thanks for adding the notation!!!!!

Brilliant
Thanks so much for this. I've been working from the notation, but the tab clears up some sticking points.
Thank you!
I think Django did that solo with two fingers! Amazing. You sir did it great feel. Swinging
Nature can be WONDERFUL if we treated FAIR. Thank you.
wow!

Learn the diatonic triads, 7th chords, 9th chords and things like that
Good one David, trying hard, not even close.
subbed great
Pas encore vu une monté Nylon ???? Pouvez-vous me donner le LUTHIER ??? MERCI

C´est de Thomas Reg´n de Cologne, Alemagne. Take care!
Merci encore bonne musique
What scale do yo folks think this piece can be related to ??
Gypsy jazz is based on arpeggios, not scales (for the most part).
And for django, it was juste an improvisation... with two fingers... argh ! :-)
That's not 100% true...
2 fingers yes, improvisation no

Its nylon strings?
Александр Александров Silver-wounded strings.
Lovely David. Which recording was this based from? I have a different version of this that I'm (always) working on.
i never knew there were other than this one
would you say this is too advanced for a beginner to try to learn?
Yeah... it depends... are you an absolute beginner?

What kind of guitar is that?
Jeff Chambers
it's a Selmer-Macafferri Style O-hole guitar. You will find lots if you Google it.
