I have struggled with skin issues on & off since I was 16 and when you say it’s a mental thing I understand 100%, it totally destroys my confidence when my skin has a breakout. At the end of the day I find that stressing about it only does more harm, and I just have to take a deep breath, be gentle with my skin and let it run it’s course. And the best thing is that it is only temporary, the pimple always go away, the skin will always get better, trust in that!!!

Hey Rachel! Love your videos! I also struggled with acne right after I got off birth control but I did not want to go on a prescription medication. I went more of an herbal route and started taking zinc (30mg), a prebiotic, and drinking spearmint tea every night and I am not kidding when I tell you my face cleared up on its own. Just an idea!🥰

girl i was in the same boat as you with skin for years. i tried everything my derm prescribed including spironolactone and everything would work for a minute and then stop working. i was super reluctant but i finally went on a low dose of accutane when i was 22 and my skin has been perfect ever since. not recommending it because it’s not for everyone but i just know how it feels when you’ve tried everything 😅

GIRL SAME on the acne!! I went on the same medicine as you and my face is sooooo dry and breaking out so bad, but I know I need to just trust that it'll work. I HATE having skin issues, I am so insecure about it. It sucks too because I am 28 years old and I shouldn't have these issues
You may have already done this but they always say whenever you’re experiencing a lot of abnormal breakouts to go back to basics with your skincare! Just a gentle unscented face wash and a simple moisturizer! I experienced abnormal acne when I was doing too many products so I went down to the basics and only cleansing once a day. I think I was overdoing it 😅 Also washing your makeup brushes and sponges often can help too!

Looooved the vlog!! I think your skin is beautiful but I totally get the annoying break outs. I just went through that recently too and it really does affect you and is super annoying! What helped me personally is keeping my routine VERY simple, no fragrances in my skincare products changed the game. Also the kosas concealer is amazing but I swear it was making my breakouts more frequent and much worse! Anyways, sorry Ik that was a lot but hopefully can help! ❤

try Sonya Dakar for your skin!!! clean ingredients, not terribly expensive, and a great selection ! i’ve had a similar experience with trying different products and not having anything work and Sonya Dakar products have saved me

hang in there with the spironolactone! i took it for years and now came off of it and haven’t had acne issues since. maybe ask the derm if you can try topical spironolactone cream as well

In my practice I find that skin issues are often from food sensitivities - gluten, dairy, seed oils etc! I would look into if any foods are triggering for you 😊 everyone is different

Do you think you could be breaking out from your ice coffee's? I'am not a coffee drinker myself but started getting vanilla ice cofee ( just a small ) daily about 6 months ago. After about a month my skin started breaking out and it never did before. I stopped the coffee and breakouts stopped. I still have an occasional one but not every day as breakouts start again for me.
