Best video I´ve come across so far, I have a 3rd degree separation. Remember, never use the front brake on your road bike... UPDATE - 2 years later, my shoulder is still broken, BUT I regained full mobility of my right arm. I am happily practicing my muay thai again, I can hit the heavy bag and the pads. (Although I have to crack my shoulder a bit sometimes)

@@priyanthalakmal7800 I think so far I am not going into surgery, , almost no pain at all now, I regained mobility, although I have to see a doctor again. I might have the joint still separated. I couldn rest and stop moving the arm, and that might have caused it to not "solder" yet

I'm either stage two or three. I have a deformed bone protruding on my right shoulder. The pain has subsided over the last couple of weeks. Got to go back to the hospital on Monday. However, I'm perplexed that the Emergency Room Doctor didn't even give me a descriptive diagnosis of my AC injury. This video nailed it. Pun not intended 😅.

I’m assuming I have type 1 or 2. The hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital (one of the best), said they couldn’t see anything wrong. My clavicle pokes out the top of my shoulder. I did the exercises they recommended and mostly everything seems ok. There’s some bumping of internals in there when I rotate my shoulder but I am mostly back to normal with minimal pain. But I can trace my clavicle to the point it protrudes and my other shoulder since the fall is still at its normal shape and size so I know for sure something moved. I was in a sling for a little while but I was confused at how they X rated me and didn’t see anything when visually, you can see it and with your hands you can feel it.

Could this injury be from incline dumbbell flies? About a week ago I had my arm too high and at the bottom felt a pop in my shoulder and a vibration in my collar bone. Since then there has been pain off and on throughout the day localized in that spot and if I reach overhead the last 15 degrees or so causes popping and crunching in my shoulder.

@@skygrey5921 for me it was painful and I couldn’t raise my arm all the way or sleep on that side. Went to the doc they did X-rays and ultrasound. No deformation or misalignment of AC joint for me but there was swelling and pain with certain motions that wouldn’t go away. Doc sent me to physiotherapist that helped. I likely sprained a ligament. 2 years later seems fine now.

I went pretty full on with the physio and was on stationary bike every other day while in a sling. Cannot understate how vital that was to my recovery.
What I would say was the recovery initially after both the surgeries was utterly brutal. Particularly getting the plate put in was excruciating.

@@priyanthalakmal7800 yes you don’t “need” surgery just like you don’t “need” your fingers or toes.... but if it can be corrected then why not correct it ... I’m not really affected by the injury, I can feel the missing support that my other shoulder has and I definitely want it fixed, I hate flexing because my collar bone sticks out when I do ... I didn’t lose 120lbs over 5years just to have a ugly looking shoulder when I flex in the cobra pose ... also gets sore when I lay on that side when sleeping ... I have full range of motion ... my scapula scrapes against my rib cage because It’s not held in position by the collar bone and when I take a deep breath it will make the cracking/scraping sound ... doing things like washing walls and doing dishes makes my shoulder sore after 5-10min from moving around a lot ... or going for walks swinging my arms makes the shoulder sore after about 30-40min so yea I would rather gets it corrected and healed while I’m still young and not have it get any worse as I age
