Great analysis guys! APPRECIATE you. I NEVER miss an episode
The four from II are outstanding. Bravo.
Urban has never lied so I'll trust his evaluation of Ash's ability and character.
I’m sensing your sarcasm.
True
😂
Jansen and his squad are killing it with evaluations
Ill be interested in hearing about how this all went down. Was there already a plan in place and the new dc needed to be willing to go with said plan. Keeping the DL coach LB and CB coach and not looking to bring in any of their own guys. That could have been a little off putting for some guys. And did the plan include the DC being a co dc with MM. That could also be a reason the pool of DCs willing to do that got smaller. I was hoping for Rossi. But if there is a laid out plan in place to just plug in a dc with experience to help guide MM allowing him to help prepare the whole defensive game plan. Ash doesn't seem to stay anywhere very long so if that's the idea behind the hire i don't hate it as much as i did at first. I think the key to this whole thing is keeping MM and moving him along to eventually take over the DC spot. Next years schedule isnt conducive for a new DC easing into the role. Im gonna go out on a limb and trust Freeman.
Rossi is the man. Much rather have him than Ash especially when you take character into account
Why do Notre Dame sports journalists always seem to celebrate it when a Notre Dame coach, administrator or player goes somewhere else? They have the right to do it, but I can do without the "good for him" attitude.
That $1,000,000 a year in California, after taxes, won’t be much more than he was making in South Bend. Newsome certainly will take it.
It will be about 550k
@@stevenrobert6992, he was making between $275-$300K. So not a significant raise. Then toss in cost of living.
Despite your political view, John literally answered in the video earning 300K in South Bend = needing to earn 450K in LA.
There is no polishing this turd .. why not conduct a nationwide search? And if they did this guy desired by nobody is who you come up with? 🤦🏻 he has not even been around football as a defensive guy in a game that has changed immensely during that time…
Why isn’t ND going after Morgan? I’m tired of this bullshit. Where’s all of this $ going?
Thats why they will always fall short, they seem to mismanage things at crucial moments.. this program always seems to wander into the swamp whenever they seem to get things going. Its one of the reasons why they haven’t won since 88..
If they lose Mickens, this is a disaster. Unless Mickens is just definitely not DC material. And he just isn't, he's a great DB coach but just doesn't have DC chops, and it just wasn't an option. Because Ash doesn't seem that great.
Very uninspiring hire if It's Ash
ASH is a joke-players that played for him at RUTGERS-said he’s too dumb to be football coach-watch JOE DELEONES-podcast….
Ash sucks so bad, nobody wanted him as a coach last yr. Hes a a complete loser.
Source trust me bro
😂😂😂. In all seriousness....
Funny watching everyone drift off into space, like high school kids sitting through a pre calc lecture, during JBs GM breakdown 😂. Need JBs usage rate to go down …. pass the rock to Sampson or O’Malley
JB is the best one
Yeah JB adds uniqueness to a solid foundation... this group totally works, they actually respectfully listen and respond to each other...sadly a rarity in the uber ego sports podcast world
I Disagree. I'm a long time listener and when JB was added initially I was disappointed it would no longer be the 3 OGs, but I've grown to appreciate JB's insight and what he adds to the podcast. He's also one of the most plugged in sources on the beat.
Ash at DC doesn’t seem like a success. It reeks of failure.
I mean I’m not excited about it but it almost seems as if you’re more confident in your own knowledge over Freeman’s.
