I bought the Icarsoft CR Max BT a week ago and I had to return it. It would connect to my Delphi in a Viano ECU but couldn't read all the modules, actuators, etc. I will keep looking for one that can with almost everything. Here in Europe.
I am wanting to use the power supply option on this to check an aux fan. When I remove a 5 pin relay, do I send power to pin 87 in the BJB or pin 85 in the BJB.
@MasterTechLou ill check when I get home. That'd be 85 in my case, which would make sense because that would close the contacts of the relay. I appreciate it! Great video by the way. This tool is cool as hell.
@ if jumping directly at the box you use 87 or 30 which is what your question led me to believe. If jumping the relay you need to supply most likely ground to 85 or 86 , the problem is all makes and models arent exact on which one is power and which one is ground. So check for your powers first and that will tell you which is ground.
So how does this compare to a Power Probe? This price seems reasonable where the Power Probe is was looking at was more expensive. Thanks for the video!!!
Nice review! I’d find this useful, but at the same time it’s a bit pricey for what it does. I have testers that can diagnose diodes, transistors etc, identify the part number that’s under test and other cool functions that only cost $25. I think a lot of the cost here is for the cables and packaging…. and Joe Biden…..😂
@@MasterTechLou one is a Bside ESR02 PRO Black with Tweezers that can be found on Amazon. It’s not an automotive tool specifically, more of a bench electronics thing. I mention it because for the level of complexity of something like that compared to this automotive tool, the automotive tool is a pretty simple device that costs twice as much. It’s definitely not an apples to apples thing, though. I was just looking at simple test lights at Autozone and was shocked to see them trying to get $25 - $35 for what amounts to an alligator clip and a bulb with a probe tip, so this device you’re talking about isn’t as unreasonable as I’m making it out to be, either. Similarly, I just had to replace the entire exhaust on my Altima and found just one of the catalytic converters for over $300 at Advance Auto, but ended up purchasing the entire system - 2 catalytic converters, the resonator pipe and 2 mufflers, for $600 TOTAL on eBay. Mind blown how bad I’ve been overpaying at the local stores all these years!!
I like the probes that allow me to trace wires for open circuits.
@@SanchoSanto I have the new vdiagtool short finder I will be doing a video with in the near future

Identical in operation. From what I have experienced.
How do i know which part/fuses/relays need power or ground?
Education, wiring diagram, experience and training.
@@MasterTechLouHi Lou. Subscribed, due to the sheer accuracy of this answer.
sorry im really dumb how would i use this tool to test shift solenoids?
First, speak more highly of yourself. Being uneducated or inexperienced doesnt make anyone dumb. 2nd you would use it just like I did with the relay.
@@MasterTechLou thank you sir I appreciate it🙏 I just ordered one
