I love how well the design has translated over from the original Xbox game, and how unique it is considering how every game strives to make it seem more and more like you’re controlling real people.

I have waited 13 years of my life for this. I found out about Psychonauts in 2005 from a demo disc of games and I remember playing as far as I could get before it ended, which was at the end of Coach Oleander’s Basic Braining level. My sister then bought me it for Christmas just some months later. I have played it probably 40 times or more and now get 100% every time without looking at walkthroughs for help. This is my most favorite game due to the unique graphics, dialogue, gameplay and amazing storyline. I already received some of my Fig rewards for funding and I can’t wait to get the rest!
I remember the demo disc was just a little different from the original. One thing I thought was odd was that when you get to the end of Basic Braining, in the demo when Raz says "Hello? Hello?" there's reverb but in the official release his voice doesn't reverberate off the walls.
My introduction to this game was a 20 second song where it's just kids singing a song about psychonauts showing gameplay footage on G4. All my pals thought it was the dumbest kid shit (we were already playing stuff like Max Payne 2 and Vice City by then) but I knew from that clip alone that the game was something I would enjoy.
"Some minds are better off...broken." ..that makes me wonder...what if Cruller wasn't hurt in a duel? What if the Psychonauts did that to him because he found something out he wasn't supposed to.

It's possible what Ford Cruller said about a psychic duel might be a lie, but we'll all have to wait until it releases to find out for sure. P.S. I doubt this is coming early next year everyone. More than likely it'll probably be mid to late next year. Hopefully it'll be mid 2019.

I don't see the damn point in watching the Avengers trailer since trailers spoil 50% of the cool moments anyway. I'd rather go see the movie a virgin and be blown away by every scene. For games, it's like watching walkthroughs and then playing it. GTA V wasn't as good as it should've been to me because of this.

Regardless, each of those I missed backing have been acquired and beaten, and THIS game will be no different.
The dark comedy is what sold me in the first one!! So happy to see it's continuing into the second one. I agree with the other comments, couldn't believe how underrated the first one was! This new one looks incredible!! So thankful for the fans who never gave up on this series!!!

I love this. It looks to be exactly how a sequel should be. All familiar parts retained, the quality of the original game acknowledged, no babies thrown out, no restyling to fit the times design-wise. Because it's not needed!

These are the same people you see on the banners here. Strangely, there's seven people represented in the original game, and the one missing is named Lucrecia Mux.
I'm just past Lungfishopolis on Psychonauts 1. Such a rad game. I love roaming around the campgrounds (especially at night) mindlessly collecting things and interacting with NPC's. This is one of those special games that I will always have a soft spot for.
Playing it over Christmas and I'm loving it. I already had fond memories of playing the original on pc when it came out but I never expected them to match or even exceed that one but they did. Amazing. Somehow this kind of videogamemagic is rarely found in more recent games.
Yup, the hype is building. Nice to see they continued a bit from that VR game they made, by having Sasha trying to help Dr.Lobato deal with the aftermath of that Psycho-lobotomy he had as a kid.... Well Psychonauts, to day is the day that psychounauts 2 is due to release. Double fine has come this far as game devs and i only hope that the company will continue to grow and make only the best games Intel the end of time.
I was a kid when I first played this game on the Playstation 2. I remember waiting for the sequel for probably a year or two, always ready to flip a page in some video game magazine and see "Psychonauts 2, coming this summer!" or something like that. Took a bit longer than I expected. I'm 21 now, and as ready for this as I'll ever be. Here's hoping it doesn't disappoint!

Yup, the hype is building. Nice to see they continued a bit from that VR game they made, by having Sasha trying to help Dr.Lobato deal with the aftermath of that Psycho-lobotomy he had as a kid.... Also.... I can tell we will FINALLY see inside the mind of kruller, either to unravel something even HE forgot and not even Psytanium can remind him, or to fix his mind.

Well Psychonauts, to day is the day that psychounauts 2 is due to release. Double fine has come this far as game devs and i only hope that the company will continue to grow and make only the best games Intel the end of time.
I am so fucking excited, I just can't put into how happy this makes me.

I was a kid when I first played this game on the Playstation 2. I remember waiting for the sequel for probably a year or two, always ready to flip a page in some video game magazine and see "Psychonauts 2, coming this summer!" or something like that. Took a bit longer than I expected. I'm 21 now, and as ready for this as I'll ever be. Here's hoping it doesn't disappoint!
