കാർട്ടറുടെ കഴുകൻ | The Vulture Of Carter | Ravichandran C . Programme organized by KYS, Pathanamthitta District Committee at Vyaparibhavan, Pandalam, Alappuzha dist, Kerala ,17 .7.2016 at 2 pm.,
Noted Freethinker and authour Ravichandran C is talking about the prospects and possibilities of the implementation of full scale organic farming throughout the state of Kerala, India. He opines that integrated nutrient management and integrated pest management as per scientific guidelines is the need of the hour. The distinction between ‘chemical’ and ‘bio’ fertilizers is non-existent and imaginary as far as the plant is concerned. The plant always absorb nutrients in the form of molecules, ions and compounds. Over use of both chemical and bio fertilizers is harmful to the soil and environment. Same is true in the case of chemical and bio pesticides. Organic farming is not good enough to deal with the increasing requirements of a snowballing population for it is less 4-40 % less productive and more costly. There is no study or evidence to confirm that organic products are richer in nutrients or they can resist ailments like cancer. In fact, some of the pesticides used in bio farming is really poisonous and pesticides like Rotenun were banned in USA for toxicity after using it for almost 30 years. Ravichandran says that the ‘chemical phobia’ purposefully generated by the organic farming lobby in Kerala may hamper the agricultural progress of the state. The society that negate the merits of science is most likely to be relegated and doomed. This is exactly happened in Stalinist Russia in middle of 20th century when pseudo scientific notions like Lysenkoism was ruling the roost while true scientists like Vavilov were made die in prisons. This seminar was conducted By KYS, Pathanamthitta District Committee at Vyaparibhavan, Pandalam, Alappuzha dist, Kerala on .17.7.2016 at 2 pm.

സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യാനന്തരം സെൻട്രൽ സുഡാനീസ് ഗവൺമെന്റ് സേനയും സുഡാൻ പീപ്പിൾസ് ലിബറേഷൻ ആർമിയും തമ്മിൽ 18 വർഷമാണ് യുദ്ധം നടന്നത്. 1972 ലാണ് ആദ്യത്തെ ആഭ്യന്തര യുദ്ധം അവസാനിക്കുന്നത്. വടക്കൻ സുഡാനിലെ എണ്ണ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾക്കു മേൽ കണ്ണ് വച്ച യൂറോപ്യൻ കുത്തകകളാണ് യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ഒരു കാരണക്കാർ .. വടക്കൻ സുഡാൻ തെക്കുഭാഗത്തേതു പോലെ കാർഷിക യോഗ്യമായ ഭൂപ്രദേശമല്ലായിരുന്നു. നൈലിന്റെ പോഷക പ്രവാഹങ്ങളാൽ ജലസമൃദ്ധമായിരുന്നു തെക്കൻ സുഡാൻ... പ്രകൃതി വിഭവങ്ങൾക്കു മേലുള്ള അവകാശ ത്തർക്കത്തിനോടൊപ്പം അറബ് - ആഫ്രിക്കൻ വംശീയ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ കൂടി ചേർന്നു വന്നതോടെ യുദ്ധം ആവിർഭവിച്ചു.
72 ൽ അവസാനിച്ച ഒന്നാം ആഭ്യന്തര യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ കെടുതികൾ അവസാനിക്കുന്നതിനു മുൻപു തന്നെ 1983ൽ രണ്ടാം ആഭ്യന്തര യുദ്ധം ആരംഭിച്ചു , അത് അവസാനിക്കുന്നത് 2005 ലാണ്...
ലോക ചരിത്രത്തിലേ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും ദൈർഘ്യമേറിയ ആഭ്യന്തര യുദ്ധമായിരുന്നു സുഡാനിൽ നടന്നത്. 20 ലക്ഷം മനുഷ്യരാണ് യുദ്ധത്തിലും അനുബന്ധമായി ഉണ്ടായ ക്ഷാമത്തിലും രോഗങ്ങളിലും പെട്ട് മരണമടഞ്ഞത്..
യുദ്ധത്തോടൊപ്പം വരൾച്ചയും ക്ഷാമത്തിനുള്ള കാരണമായിരുന്നു.. എത്യോപ്യൻ ഉന്നതതടങ്ങളിലെ പാരിസ്ഥിതിക നാശവും മഴയിലുണ്ടായ ഗണ്യമായ കുറവും നൈലിലേക്കുള്ള എത്യോപ്യൻ പോഷക പ്രവാഹങ്ങളുടെ ജല നിർഗമനത്തിൽ 30% ത്തിന്റെ കുറവു വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. യുദ്ധത്തോടൊപ്പം വരൾച്ചയും ചേർന്നതോടെ കൃഷി തകർന്നു തരിപ്പണമായി.
യൂറോപ്യൻ അധിനിവേശക്കാർ തങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങളുടെ പൂർത്തീകരണങ്ങൾക്കായി കാർഷികമായും പാരിസ്ഥിതികമായും നക്കിത്തുടച്ചവയാണ് ആഫ്രിക്കയിലേതുൾപ്പടെയുള്ള കോളനി രാജ്യങ്ങളെന്ന വസ്തുത ചരിത്രത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സാമാന്യ ബോധമുള്ള ആർക്കും മനസ്സിലാകും. സഹാറയോടു ചേർന്നുള്ള ഫ്രഞ്ച് കോളനികളിൽ ആയിരക്കണക്കിനു ഹെക്ടർ സ്ഥലത്ത് ഏകവിളയായി നിലക്കടല കൃഷി ചെയ്തത് വെള്ളക്കാരന് പീനട്ട് ബട്ടർ കഴിക്കാനായിരുന്നു.. ക്രമാതീതമായി മണ്ണിളക്കിയുള്ള നിലക്കടല കൃഷി പിന്നീട് അവിടങ്ങളിൽ മരുഭൂ വ്യാപനത്തിനു കാരണമായി എന്നത് ചരിത്രമാണ്..
ഭക്ഷ്യവിളകൾ ഇറക്കിയ വയലുകളിൽ നീലം കൃഷി നടത്താൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ കർഷകരെ നിർബന്ധിച്ച ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാരുടെ നടപടികളെ മറക്കാറായിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ..

Sir You are saying Jaiva Urea and Rasa Urea is the same. But studies have also proven that Man-made urea has side effects. With chemical fertilizers there is very high yield in the first few years. After that we need more water and fertilizer input every year. The soil bacteria and micro organisms are reducing in number due to man-made chemical fertilizers. When we use Jeevamritham, Panchagavya etc the soil and micro organism are getting nourished. And there is no side effects.. So I think you should do more research before ridiculing.
