- This video is a combination of 2 things. First being how to use a cheap Fire Tablet to program a Kelly Controller via bluetooth! This also covers what to program when purchasing the new EC4P Electro and Co Motor.
That shirt though! Thanks man!
Worth every penny. One of the most iconic cars too ever been made!
How are you liking the new motor with those big tires ?
So I just got my first ride in this morning. It’s way better than the MY1020 in every way. Pretty decent torque, not mind blowing, but more importantly it stayed cool! Even in some of my hardest riding on the trails and it only reached a max of 45C
What controller and motor will you recommend for a 48v budget set up.
I wouldn’t waste my money on the MY1020 personally. EC4P whatever version and a fardriver are my go to for budget
Dude you have legit street cars commenting on your channel!!! So sick!
Question about max current per setting:
I have a battery with the bms set to 120a continuous/ 250a peak discharge , does that mean I set the max current per to 60?
Thank you !
Legit Street Cars, aka Alex and I go way back lol. And yes set it to 60. That should be 120 continuous, but not 100% sure what your burst will be. Trying work through all the programming next.
Where is a good place to get this Controller.
Are you going to do a ride video and give your impression of the motor ? Is the motor worth the price?
I’m currently trying to get all my footage together and edited. For me this motor solves my problems. Would probably be even better with a better battery and a controller with field weakening
@Nick's Garage Builds yeah. I like the motor . It does solve some of the problems with the MY1020. What controller would you use , That's around the price of the KVD7212NX. That is also easy to program
My motor isn’t working at all, I’m not sure why.. do you think I could’ve coded something wrong?
There is always that possibility, but more likely a battery or wiring issue
I’m using a 52 v battery, would there be different settings?
@@bighead9730 well depends on the ratings of your 52v battery? You need to set your amps to what your battery is rated too. If your battery is rated for 80 amps you set that to 40 in the kelly. It’s a percentage rating not a physical number
Well android is almost 90% of the market so no ios isn't what "most" people run
That’s a very valid point. I’m used to the US which IOS is the majority, but that’s one small part of the world.
