Its actually really important that it's not on the census it was removed bipartisan in th 1950's. Because it will cause massive undercounting. Not everyone in the us counts as a legal citizen. Once you apply for citizenship it takes 20 years to be accepted. Thus 19 years worth of legal immigrants will not be counted. This comes up around 8.6 million people.

The stock market is up 50% since he took office, which is great but it really only benefits corporations, investment banks, and the small fraction of Americans that invest. Also, the stock market went up so much because of the corporate tax cuts which inflated corporate earnings (and thus their share prices). In terms of China’s predatory economic strategies, it’s good that Trump is taking them on. However, Trump has put a tremendous amount of downward pressure on our economy, atleast in the short term, with these tariffs. And China isn’t paying for the tariffs, the American people are fronting the majority of that cost. Overall our economy is doing really well, but this level of growth isn’t sustainable and it’s likely that Trump’s policies will make the next recession significantly worse than is expected. Trump doesn’t deserve much credit for our economy; some, sure, but he inherited a strong uptrend from Obama’s post-08’ economic policies. He has really only created economic opportunity for corporations and the top 10% of Americans, definitely not the middle class.

Ah no he’s really not a good advocate for the economy, he doesn’t understand it. POTUS stated that the economy is up 50% since he took office; that is false. The stock market is up 50% since he took office, which is great but it really only benefits corporations, investment banks, and the small fraction of Americans that invest. Also, the stock market went up so much because of the corporate tax cuts which inflated corporate earnings (and thus their share prices). Again this is great for investors, but trickle down economics hasn’t been empirically shown according to the federal reserve. And while on the topic of the Fed, it should really worry Americans that Trump wants to lower interest rates. The Fed is incredibly important and needs to remain independent from the executive. If the Fed lowered interest rates while the economy is this strong, it would certainly lead to unsustainable levels of inflation and an ensuing recession. In terms of China’s predatory economic strategies, it’s good that Trump is taking them on. However, Trump has put a tremendous amount of downward pressure on our economy, atleast in the short term, with these tariffs. And China isn’t paying for the tariffs, the American people are fronting the majority of that cost.
Overall our economy is doing really well, but this level of growth isn’t sustainable and it’s likely that Trump’s policies will make the next recession significantly worse than is expected. Trump doesn’t deserve much credit for our economy; some, sure, but he inherited a strong uptrend from Obama’s post-08’ economic policies. He has really only created economic opportunity for corporations and the top 10% of Americans, definitely not the middle class.
