    Just ordered some paint, thinner and gloss! Very excited to try. Done much acrylic in the past but have recently gotten interest in sofubi. Can’t wait!

    I'm extremely happy to not only see a paint specifically made for vinyls but the fact that on your website it shows how the colors are applied to Kaiju figures, some of which I own in your examples. This paint will be perfect in doing some restoration work on some scuffed up figures

      Thank you very much! I hope to create some non-toxic formulations in the future, but it's been difficult. The water based vinyls aren't as durable for toys unfortunately.

    fantastic video. If you weren't using a clear gloss at the end, would the paint have the same amount of scratch resistance? Thanks!

    • @vinylwonder
      @vinylwonder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question Mapaco! As long as you clean the surface of your vinyl well with our thinner, the paint will chemically bond and not need a clear coat. I'll do my next video showing the scratch resistance on a piece that isn't clear coated.

    Oh wow… didn’t realize how well it worked as a brush paint. Thought it was only for an air sprayer.

    • @vinylwonder
      @vinylwonder  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep! Our concentrate works great as a brushable paint. And if it's still too thick for you out of the bottle, you can thin it down slightly with our vinyl thinner or retarding solvent for more work time.

    Just bought some paint and I can’t wait to start painting some of my blanks! Do I have to paint everything in one sitting? Or can I paint in different times. Thank you!

      I'd love to sell overseas, but we're having a hard time navigating the legal logistics of shipping flammable liquids internationally. We're definitely looking into it, and if you have any helpful tips regarding this, please email us!

  • @pimenel

    Silly question, how does the products interact with foam clay? Will the thinner damage the foam or does it work well with it?

    • @vinylwonder
      @vinylwonder  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a silly question at all! You can use Vinyl Wonder on a lot of different substrates, but I'm not positive if it will work on foam clay. I've never tried it. It might?

  • @diablothegreat5932

    I checked your website and it says ready-spray. Is that the same paint and if so why thin it? Also what is the difference between vinyl paint and lacquer paint? Thank you!
    EDIT: Checked again and saw it was different paint.

    • @vinylwonder
      @vinylwonder  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes this video is instructing how to use the vinyl concentrate and turn it into ready-spray. Vinyl paint is vinyl based whereas most lacquer paints are urethane based. The only way you can get a chemical bond to vinyl, is by using vinyl paint. Thanks for your interest!

    can this paint be used on resin?

    • @vinylwonder
      @vinylwonder  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it can! We have an adhesive promoter in our formula specifically designated to bond with most resins. Just make sure your resin has all the mold release cleaned off before painting. Our vinyl thinner can be used to degrease and scrub off mold release from resin figures.

      hopefully soon though. Subscribe to our newsletter when you get a chance. I'll be sending out an international poll soon to gauge which countries are most interested. We're currently getting certified to ship international, but it's a whole lot of work, and each country has its own regulations on what they consider safe.
