YAESU FT-757 S Meter back light replacement

Yaesu FT-757 GX original backlight bulbs gone bad. Here is an attempt to replace faulty bulbs with simple LEDs for durability of S-Meter backlight life.

Никому не советую ставить светодиод в подсветку если будет пробой на короткое то будет гудбай

What voltage are the original bulbs? Did you put your own resistors on the LEDs, or did you buy voltage-specific LEDs?

Old bulbs are 12V. For LEDs resistor used in series.

V=RI it is the most basic stuff.

I just did this same mod on mine, used 3v leds, with a 470 ohm resistor in series, worked very nicely!! Original lights ran at the same voltage as the radio, 12-13.8 or whatever your input is.
