what to do ? want to push for visa free tourism and other country happily send their convicts and lawbreakers to you. Should immediately review this policy and terminate the visa free cos the origin country will not be bothered to provide you with these crooks history. it is not their KPI. The government should implement caning in the law for house breaking. Nowadays, this number of crimes have gone up due to the free visa for number of Chinese nationals coming to Singapore. Furthermore, the Singapore government should consider barred free visa specially to Chinese nationals, as they are troublemakers. Besides house breaking, some even illegally involved in money laundering and prostitution.
I guess that they had to work a few jobs to save enough money to buy airtickets to fly to Singapore. But now they had to go to jail for burglary. They thought that they could burglarize houses here then escaped back to China undetected.
There is no extradition treaty between Singapore and China, so they tried to leave Singapore immediately after the burglary and would be safe in China. The police there will not entertain any investigation request from "lesser" countries.
