Poussey was so angelic. Her character was so important. The most important character on the show. Her personality had so much meaning. She was the best character on the show.
This scene really spoke to me, when Poussey said " You gotta hold on a little longer than you think you can cause there's good shit working its way to you that you don't even know about" I felt that and it reminded me that things do get better.
How ironic... What good shit? She lands back in prison and at the end of the season Taystee is still in prison bc of other people doing her wrong. This scene is so heartbreaking. Her only true friend Poussey was killed and she now has a life sentence thanks to Cindy when all she was trying to do was get justice for her friend. Talk about hard knock life.
If she would have given up and left the riot after she preached the news she would have been okay. But she got greedy. She should have known that this riot was gonna end up being bad for everyone cause they had already shot a guard. They all lost before it even begun. Yeah T didn't do it but that doesn't mean anything. You can preach for justice when during a riot a guard was killed. So her only way to win was to give up when that riot started and none of that shit would ever happen.
She told taystee to be strong while she’s on the outside. If she would have done that then she would have been alright. She gave in and went back to the criminal life which landed her back in jail.
This scene had me in tears, but the line “Stay up” is what stuck to me the most. I’ve felt that tired feeling before so hearing that hit me hard. I really needed this scene and I’m glad I had the chance to see it
I was going through a bunch of shit all summer and as I was growing this season was released and gave me personal clarification and then this scene happened and I understood Taystee and this scene helped me so damn much

Never understood why poussey didn’t have any friends or family outside of the prison system that could have helped tastee I mean she was apparently upper middle class right? Just because her mum had died? She didn’t have a house tastee could live in? Didn’t make sense for me
badunina even so? Seems like she could have gotten some kind of assistance from someone. Her dad had a house and lives in A nearby city as we saw the CO that killed her travelled to meet with him shortly after her death.
@@Chuchutrain806 she’s an army brat, they often have friends but don’t actually have friends, don’t have long lasting relationships. Her father, he loved her no doubt but she embarrassed him, gay and in prison is not a good combo, their relationship suffered. Not to add then when someone goes to prison, most times, all your “close friends and family” disappear because they don’t know how to process that or they can’t understand it, like Piper’s relationship with her ex fiancé and best friend. It makes sense why Poussey couldn’t help T when she got out.
I hate how everyone says they should of gave taystee a happy ending when in reality sometimes most people rarely get happy ending. But the thing I really liked was how piper understood how Larry felt when she was in prison now she feels the same thing because Alex is still in prison. I also angry that pennstatucky died. I always liked her character I guess because piper was stuck up and piper always thought she was entitled. I never liked the daya storyline. I’m glad Gloria got go to see her kids. I thought red ending was sad because it explained how she kept her hair blonde because she was fading... plus Nicky was my 2ed favorite character she actually took over from red and became the new mother hen. But I don’t think piper and Alex should of ended up together. I think piper should of broke up with Alex...
Wisteriawood Clips they said Cindy was supposed have a sad ending but the actress wouldn’t allow it. If your looking for a show like oitnb you should watch wentworth on Netflix or if you saw it already try the old show prisoner cell block H on TH-cam... wentworth on Netflix is like a reboot...

I remember the season taystee returned. When Taystee got back she admitted that she gave up and purposely got in trouble to go back to poussey. Poussey was disappointed but understood how hard it was for taystee when she got out. Taystee and many others that came back admitted that no job would hire them because of what they did and taystee came from a foster home and stayed with a bunch of strangers sometimes- that's no way to get back on your feet. Had taystee's biological mother just took her in like she said she would, there's no telling how much better her life would've turned out. They showed how hard it was for Aleida (daya's mother) to find a job but that was mainly because of aleidas temper lol and then Pensatuckey when she broke out, she realized how pointless it would've been to stay on the run for the rest of her life; that's no way to live. In real life some inmates return to jail or prison because after being in there so long; that's all they know.
