jess, i’m genuinely so so proud of you. you were the reason that I made the decision to go to UCF for musical theatre and seeing you continue to pursue your dreams despite all of the obstacles you’re facing is so inspiring! stay positive! you’re doing amazing!! 💛
I've been watching your channel since your senior year of college. I am so excited to see your NYC & audition content! I am proud of you for taking a big, scary step, and I know you will see the rewards from it.
ok when u said the thing abt building someone else’s dream VS your own… I DONT THINK I HAVE EVER RELATED TO SOMETHING SO MUCH. before i changed my major to theatre i was so depressed and unmotivated, but now i’ve never been happier. FOLLOW UR DREAMS GIRL😭😭😭
Your new Broadway job sounds so amazing and I am so happy for you! My mom has a similar job but for tv, she's a part of the covid safety team for nbc universal. I am currently a college student working part time at duane reade and this video is encouraging me not to stop applying to broadway (non performing) and disney jobs here in nyc (even though I've been rejected from both many times) since it's my job to work for either industry.
I know we don't know each other IRL but I'm so proud of you for making that decision! I have done (almost) exactly what you've done twice - I wasn't getting anywhere with a real job on Broadway and left once to work at WDW and the other time to work at a hotel in the city but I knew that I wouldn't be happiest unless I was working in theater. I quit my job, did two Broadway internships at the same time and all of that FINALLY led to my job on Broadway where I get to be a part of it all and actually afford NYC. It is possible! And like I said on Insta, if you're ever at my theater, definitely come say hi. Welcome to Broadway! 😄👏
Jess, I can totally relate to the feeling of feeling your soul being sucked by a 9-6 job (for me, 8:30-6!!) and I’m so happy for you that you has the ability to make the change you needed in order for you to thrive. I hope to see you checking me in on Broadway in the future! Congratulations girl!!! 💗
You go girl! Also so nice to see a fellow 26-year-old being honest about still figuring out their life. I am also an actress but am currently back in school studying design. I was pretty much all set to say goodbye to the acting world mainly because I hate the lack of stability lol (very different from you) and then I just booked my first real acting job and now have no idea what I’m gonna do.
I am so so happy for you! I've been watching you for so long and as an Orlando college theatre student, I look up to you so much! Congrats, so many good things are waiting for you! Xoxo
Yes girl! Chase your dreams!😍 Not gonna lie you were a big reason that I decided to move to Orlando and start my journey into the entertainment world 💕
Proud of you! ❤️ I think it was back in 2019, but one time I interrupted you while you were half costumed and walking into the entertainment trailer at Universal to tell you that I loved your videos and you were so nice about it! Of course I see how cringe it was now lol. Anyway, I can’t wait to see you make videos continuing adventure!
To echo everyone here already, I'm so excited and proud of you for taking the risk and for choosing your happiness! Can't wait to see more of this journey!
congrats on taking that leap of faith, it’s so hard but i know you’ll be so much happier! also not to be nosy but what hair color is this it’s literally the shade i’ve been trying to get for YEARS 😭
Aww this made me super emotional! I've always loved Broadway and theatre, but am from a tiny town that is far away from everything. So I never had a chance to take part in anything theatre, my schools didn't have anything dealing with theatre either. In college I took an Introduction to Theater class and fell in love. I loved performing, and I love every part of being in the theatre and on stage. Which is really weird because I HATE being in front of people, as myself. I get shaky and sweaty and freak out. But performing on stage is completely different... I'm not me up there. Anyway, a few years later I was in a car wreck that derailed my entire life. I had to leave college, which meant I had to leave theatre too. I went through a deep depression. I always wanted to move to NYC and work on Broadway. Maybe one day actually perform on Broadway. But that dream shattered on 12/19/2008. So when I see others living their dreams, or working toward them, it makes me super emotional. Don't get me wrong, I am living another dream of mine... I'm married and have two beautiful babies (Toby 4 and Olivia 1.5). I miss theatre like crazy, and I would love to get back to it one day. Hopefully one day. BUT so much love and good vibes to you my dear! You get that dream!
I've been watching you the last 4 years since you went to summer camp. I am so happy to see you inching closer and closer to your dream. Just start singing in the halls around the important people, it should lead you to an audition! Lol and we are here for the Salem content
Yes!!! I love this for you! A few of the SM program grads are part of the COVID compliance teams on Broadway so I'm happy something good is coming from the pandemic. (P.S. Get that bread with a sponsored video!)
I don’t mean to sound like a hater, but how on earth did you afford to study abroad, get your degree, make 2 huge moves and leave all these jobs to follow your Broadway dreams!? I need to know your secrets! Lol
