- See a flyover of a busy Derby RTC, Etches Park, Alstom Works and southern station junction/approach to see a birds eye perspective of this huge railway scene.

Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.
All footage was captured using a compliant sized drone for the area flown, inline with the CAA drone/UAS rules as of Oct-24.

The whole railway complex at Derby is a hell of a lot bigger than I ever thought!
Great footage 👍
There's always something of interest at the RTC, with 37s and HSTs usually stabled there
I see Derby are getting ready for the arrival of OHLE and associated EMUs. Good to see.
Great video. And some nice model layout ideas. Thanks
Watch a video of Deadmans Lane layout after and you'll barely tell the difference! 😀
Superb work.
Excellent video 👍
I remember Etches Park used to be full of coaching stock mk1s,mk2s hst coaches, postal vans..used to be rammed! And locos on etches park shed too.
Then the Rtc side..
Was always plenty to be looking out for when leaving Derby station on trains to london nottingham or long eaton..then the walk to toton tmd!
I drive by there quite often. The 37s are often near the road, Colas, Rog etc
Etches Park, I think. That and the RTC site have grown exponentially, to replace the loco works, now a Business Park, it looks like.
37508 hiding in the corner there 4:49 .
Nice drone footage Mr DTP,no 810s kicking about? Perhaps by the turn of the century?😅
Sat in the same queue as the Class 93’s..!
I Went pass that today and 2 days time
97 is back now
Very nice video, like the music, what voyagers are sitting there!?
Thanks - Not sure which units were onsite at the time though.. Sorry. 😢
@trainsplanes OK, no problem, I take it there waiting to get refurbed before going to XC?
The voyager is a 221 Ex Avanti west coast
Very nice to see all of the locos and units in the depots! Are you able to just fly the drone over for do you have to get permission?
Have a look at the CAA rules - A very specific size of drone is allowed only 👍
@@trainsplanesunder 250g or you need permission from the land owners as per professional film makers (or police)
Great video but the RTC site just looks a hotch potch of disorganised stock. HST power cars sandwiched between coaches, random livery coaches in the middle of a rake and then they go and stick a coach on the end of a track maintenance machine and inspection saloon. It’s made my OCD go into one!
always thought it was Etches park
It is - That’s me being a clown. I’ve amended it now 👍
Where's 37418 ran off to then! 😂
It came back today
It’s always busy…
Do you need to get permission from Network Rail/EMR to fly above their infrastructure? Genuinely curious about the process....
Apparently flying over industrial (and in some cases, ex-MOD) sites is acceptable if the drone is a certain mass…
Does anybody know what livery 37152 is in it's running 1Q48 now and runs 1Q22 tomorrow
I wasn’t aware that 37152 (or 125) is mainline registered.
Are you sure it's 37152 ?
It has been at Peak Rail for several years, and currently in large logo
@Thornaby37 it was someone joking around on railrecord saying it was 37418 and 37152 it was actually 43272 and 43274
