Joe, please look up “Forscan Raptor Spreadsheet”. I am 99% sure you can edit the programming in Forscan to disable auto start/stop function. It’s 2018, you don’t have to jumper wires anymore
I feel you! BMW, Mercedes etc keeps it off all the time. On the other hand Jeeps for example are like the raptor. Turns back on every time you get back in the car

There is a little gizmo that you can put behind the button that keeps it off permanently and then you could turn it on when you want to but it will not come on by itself

2nd most annoying feature of the F150's: Get out of the truck with it running, keys in your pocket, it blasts two loud honks as if you forgot to shut it off (seen at 9:35 in the video). No way to disable. Gah! Nice truck though, can't wait to see the big three grow in the warehouse!

Routing the cables to bypass something in modern cars tends to clog up the infotainment system memory and slow response times of key press on sat nav for example. Simple thing I guess would have been to ask a ford dealer to plug in an OBD and disable the function. Simples.
Not that I know of, on being held down it just kept the last signal. It’s not constantly sending anything to the computer just the initial “I’m off” signal. A buddy of mine has had this done for almost 2 years and hasn’t had any issues what so ever!

your a tech guy.... Forscan, also if you would have searched enough theres a plug at the bottom where the pedals are, that you just unplug and it disables auto start stop all together. anyways look into Forscan, lots of cool things you can do with the truck. (coding similar to bmw stuff)
You can use Forscan to disable the auto start/stop feature or make the button just work in reverse, no need to mess with the button itself. You can also use it to auto-fold mirrors on door lock.

Joe, check out one of AutoVlog’s most recent videos called “Auto-stop/start Sucks. Fixing this annoying feature.” He got something that allowed that button to be reversed so that when you start the truck it’s automatically off and you hit the button to turn it on. He made the video on the install.
You and Max are both funny as fuck and have great chemistry with each other, so more of you guys together would be lit! And the working on the raptor segment was entertaining so I’m hopefully there’s a lot more working on cars in the future. The future is looking bright for this channel 😎

2019s have crawl control and an electronic parking brake....and the adaptive suspension is on all 4 corners.
