They are absolutely every bit gorgeous! 🤩
So happy to see this follow up video.
We are going to do lots more over the coming weeks . Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for sharing! I've been looking for videos that would demonstrate how they would grow if self seeded and their spacing, showing the full top to bottom growth habit of the full plant. It looks like some seem to still flourish even when tightly spaced. So helpful! I hope your garden self seeds successfully again this year.
Thank you Leslie glad you found the hollyhock growing tips useful
I love hollyhocks very much. For some reason white ones don't grow in my garden. Only pink and burgundy. Yours are very beautiful. Especially gently pink and salmon.
Thank you
I’m addicted to Hollyhock videos. I’m having a love affair with them alas by virtual streaming. Could never grow them however way I try. by seed, seedlings , adult plants! But I’ll still try. One day I might just meet the right cultivar that will love me too. ❤️👌😘
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the video. We plan to make seed available to as many interested people as possible later this year. It would be lovely to see the line growing in a fellow enthusiasts garden.
@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 Oh how I would love to buy these flower seeds from you. How can I go about it?
Love the Burgundy! Next year brings its August I don,t everything is going to bloom but next year I should have it all.

It is the beauty of Hollyhocks the mixed color.

Thank you for creating this video. They're beautiful! We cleared all the trees from our yard and found six hollyhock growing. I'm not sure they'll bloom but I bought six more bareroot to plant. Yours are gorgeous!

Thank you! My first one was Coral and I am staring to get a lot Pink mixture
Dear Sir, Believe it’s all about the flowers not the leaves I remove a lot of bad leaves
It’s my favorite flower! It’s to bad I can show some photos of mine. I just planted mine this year! But I grew from seed and germinated! And they came up the first year!
Thats great Diane next year you should have lots of flower
Beautiful! This really makes me want to grow hollyhocks BUT my current garden gets big winds at times.
Go for it! so do the ones here and in Blakeney where we grow them on the north coast, they take a real pounding and still look good all summer
Never could grow them; bugs completely exfoliate them and my resident Michigan ground hog eats them down to nothing. I got only one bloom this year so thanks for showing what they could be
That's such a shame. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I've never grown these!! I want some of all!!
Candie Harris Hollyhocks are very rewarding to grow although they take 2 years to get to flowering size but well worth the wait
@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 oh my gosh! Then I'd better get busy!

My first flowers to bloom was a beautiful Coral , and so far I have a dark pink , and 2 lighter Shade but planted in my flower bed they were fairly close enough ! So I believe they can cross pollinate! So very beautiful! (((( My favorite flower ! Love then! Do you collect the seeds! Sir.
Yes we do collect seed every year . They come up very reliably from seed in Norfolk

@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 oh thanks .if i know how to send a photo i will send but I'm just learning the demon tech .thanks
Question ,?Do you let your seeds fall! I just hade a white and yellow in the center bloom!🙂
Yes we do Diane and we also save some of the Hollyhock seed to give away or to seed new areas of the garden with Hollyhocks.
That’s what I’m doing this year and I’m going to leave my whole flower bed Hollyhocks it don,t pay to put flowers in because the Hollyhocjs took over! And I love them
Come October I will cut them back to 6” and mulch
I have holly hocks but it’s very bushy is it strange or natural? Never bloomed before I started from seeds in 2019.
Thank you for watching Pheba
Are these the same as tree hollyhocks?
No I don't think so Ive not heard them called that before. I think the tree hollyhock is known as Hibiscus in UK and is a shrub
Rust is a problem with those.
It certainly is but it can be effectively managed by removing the worst affecting leaves. They still flower spectacularly
