Great video!! 🥰 I use eBay a lot and the fakes are everywhere 😞 I always look at the seller’s feedback/rating, if there’s hardly anything there or if it’s negative I avoid them (some sellers can be genuine and new, but as a rule it’s safer to avoid the sellers with minimal ratings)

I'll be honest, without a comparison I wouldn't be able to tell if the hair was a little lighter or darker, or if the border was thicker. I've bought other things from a reputable store that didn't match the photo on the genuine website. A lot of airbrushing goes into photos. It is amazing how many fake websites there are for these that just steal your money. I expected to be 6+ pages into the Internet before I found one, but there they are in the first page. And how expensive they are. It's insane.

i was about to buy boa hancock for 29$ and i’m so thankful i watched this video. found a 100% real one and compared pictures. the white border was off and bottom of box details are laid out completely different. i’m new to collecting so this helps a lot

Dude thank you so much. I am becoming more and more paranoid about buying pops ngl. Like a while ago I bought a limited chase edition Jason and I keep wondering if its a fake. Partly because I can't tell and partly because it's my favourite pop and I don't want it to be fake lol.
The numbers in the boxes look different as well
I know I'm a hypocrite because I am always preaching about fakes vs reals on pokemon cards.. but those fake dolls and boxes look so close to the original, that I'd pay a good $5-$15 for each.. and yes I do get that the point is that they are usually faking high dollar funkos so they wouldn't be selling it for $5-$15 in the first place.
I actually have bought fake funko pops way before I knew that there were fake funko pops. I bought a fake Ryuk and T'Chala (Bought around the time Chadwick passed) funkos both from China 😅
Yeah lots of fake Ryuk’s out there I was a victim of it as well but the guy I traded with was willing to give me my stuff back so it all worked out
Would it be possible if you could check for fakes of the chase hollow mask for bankai ichigo? I'm very suspicious of whether I have a fake or a real one?

May I ask if the original Funko's are much heavier than the fake ones? I bought two Funko's and I bought it in diff store. The one is heavier than the other. So I am confuse which one is original.

I bought a Chase Jason Voorhees that was fake. I bought it for the sake of having one to display out of the box because they don't look bad.
Quick question - With the social media logo's you showed the real one had a lighter line in the middle of the facebook logo and the fake one had the line at the bottom. Did you happen to mix up the real and fake because the facebook logo's I've seen have the lighter line at the bottom of the logo and a lot of legit pops I've seen sold also have this at the bottom and not the middle.
My first Naruto Naruto POP was a fake. I honestly wasn't sure but I had a gut feeling so I wrote the vender and asked if my pop was authentic or a fake, they never replied but refunded all of my money. I can only guess that was the "Yes it's a fake" answer.
Thank you for doing this video, since then I've been scared to buy POPS from anywhere outside of chain retailers (hot topic, game stop etc) Toy Temple and Ozzy Collectables has some of the Naruto pops I need but I'm scared since I don't know of them.
Anyhow, you might want to write the retailer that you bought those fakes from and see if you can get some of your money back. Tell them you'll report them for selling fakes, you might be surprised and get your $100 back. Can't hurt to try.
Forgot to add that because of that fear, I miss out on a lot of awesome pops 😔

From what I know I haven’t bought any fakes, I avoid eBay since I hear that’s where most fakes come from. I did see a listing for a SDCC Bakugo that was too good to be true but the reviews confirmed it was fake 😬
this video helped a lot my first few months of collecting were great but now 2 years later, I'm looking at a iron man I remember getting from 5 below. I noticed that in the light the POP! logo looked brighter than some of my other funkos like my Asta, Michael Myers, and zombie Captain America. So I thought about it for a bit and thought it might be fake. when I watched this video it was hard to tell because it did not have the thicker boarder ,or the un-bolded text, it was however, made in Vietnam and had the brighter logo as previously stated. this video helped a lot will deffinetly share to a lot of my other friends that also collect.
SKITTLE I know this sounds dumb, but I buy pops just to collect so the price/fake doesn't bother me as much, so if you wanna sell that Hollow and Rukia fake I will gladly pay you what you payed for them
Great video, however the fakes are getting a lot better. If someone was shopping for either of these and didnt have a real one for them to reference I can see how it would be very easy to purchase a fake

The color eyes vary from variants. The gamestop ones ive seen and mine included have a more red tone than an orange tone

I just bought the restock of Muichiro from Funko HQ and the Funkon sticker is lighter color than the first one i got from HQ.
There are two sticker colors
If there's a funko pop that actually has a special edition sticker Doesn't really completely mean it's fake like what if it is a real pop but it just doesn't have The exact exclusive sticker?

I bought copy of Joel from Last Of Us, because it's just impossible to find original, discontinued... So Funko makes us buy fakes.
Luckily I haven't had any encounters with any fake funko pops. I'm sad that I found out my Dabi pop was fake which I got signed without knowing it was a fake which i paid $150 for but by the time i caught it it was too late to message the seller about it so i still have it but it was a bummer but it taught me more about fake pops so some other grails i have for sure aren't fake
You could of just stopped at the "POP!" logo not showing any bubbled look on the fake one.
Hello I have a question I have a hallow ichigo I bought at a convention and everything check out other than the bottom of the feet were I have the funko LLC 2016 with the website on the bottom of both of his feet.

I think they’ve only ever made fake GameStop ichigos, so if the sticker seems like it hasn’t been tampered with then it should be a real hollow Ichigo. Can someone correct me if they’ve ever seen a fake underground toys hollow Ichigo?
I have a rukia with fm 2020 on foot. The box checks out against the real like in your video. The sheathe doesn’t have a gap. It’s just the foot stamp says fm 2020. Somebody told me that just means it’s the second release. And fm1353 is first release. Can you help please ?

Ugh that ichigo was damn near identical i hope i dont have any i have way too much now to check but i got most of my funkos from amazon, gamestop. And think geek. Very few from crunchy roll and comic shop. But i think im solid especially since i dont have many grails

Fakes are easy to find if you have the real pop to compare.
Easy to find if you use the tips as well and compare theme in photos lol

Funko’s are also made it Vietnam though. Also the color inconsistencies can be a QC issue, I’ve see. It before. Obviously I know the ones in the video are known fakes. But some of this is not good enough indication of a fake. It sucks
