I live in Lake Havasu City and just LOVE iT!!! We take the dive south through Parker, Quartzite and all on our way to Yuma to go to Los Algadones, Mexico. Nice, scenic drive with the mountains and desert vegetation.

So raising the level of the Colorado River backs up the Bill Williams River all the way to Phoenix, Wow!! That is some choice engineering by somebody. I would say those engineers made the entire southwest what it is today.

still watching .i plan on coming to quartzite in january .i like the lake havasu area this past year when i was there it was spring break ,what a party on the inlet from london bridge to the lake.

Russ, have you heard about closings of campers in state and national parks..only going to allow about 40..rigs and price each night is 20.00..and only 14 day stay. ???

Haven't been in that part of the state since 1995. Had my then girlfriend now wife riding with me. Picked up a load of tools I think and headed east. Been trying to remember where I deadheaded from. Still has very nice scenery there I see.
Waiting for the maps/links with baited breath :) I just joined Thousand Trails .. trails collection so I need to look for free places to stay for each 7 days I have to be out of the system ( after 14 days in a resort).
My wife’s parents lived in Havasu before the bridge arrived, then all of a sudden there were pieces of bridge starting to show up.

I always pull up my Google map to see where you are and which direction you're headed ... I've been to the London bridge and walked around a bit by the lake area but that's it. I get lost without my maps. I think I'll run to BLM management in Bullhead to see what maps they have. Really liked the drive, thanks for sharing.
