Hey Jared idk if you’ve talked about this before but what visa do you have? I plan on moving to China to work and be with my boyfriend but idk how I can get a work visa before I can even go to China to find a job. Like did you start with a tourist visa and work up to other visa?
I think you better to find a work on LinkedIn and the company can provide you visa,because the covid it’s very difficult now, the embassy will not give you tourist visa.
We live in Canada and my husband is Canadian, but we plan to move to China in the future. Not sure which city we want to move to. Nanjing seems a not bad option.
I live in Yokohama, very close to Tokyo, and my apartment has a living room, kitchen, bedroom, toilet, and bathroom. My living room and bedroom are combined 12jyou, and look to be equivalent in size to just your living room. My kitchen is 6.5jyou. I don't know the size of my bathroom or the like, but overall my apartment is just shy of 40square meters in overall size and I pay around 650USD for it every month XD; It's actually a pretty good price for where I live and how big it is, but seeing your massive space, and that it costs less just made me chuckle haha. It's such a big difference. I moved recently from a rural area where an apartment at around 32 square meters could cost as little as 50USD a month (subsidized) and 450USD not subsidized. The awful thing is that coming from the west coast US, all these prices are wonderfully cheap, since my current apartment if I rented it in Oregon, in the suburbs, would cost around 1400USD or possibly more a month. It boggles my mind how my apartment in one of the biggest cities in the world, while small by American standards, costs significantly less than an American apartment would and is in good condition. We are very lucky indeed
