Great review thanks, covered everything I wanted to know before considering the purchase of a used one locally, in a very straight forward and clear way. A lot of 'reviews' are really just someone showing off their shredding skills and you don't learn much about the guitar. This is different and really helpful. I look forward to watching more on your channel.
I acquired this very guitar for £100 last week. I am staggered at how good it is and the playability. Stays in tune no matter how aggressively I play it
Yes i don't think I'll change my pickups as it sounds good to me. Mine is a GRX40 BKN so i haven't got that back plate to get to the tone, volume etc, but not issues on that tbh. Very good solid guitar's for the price.
Absolutely. Those guitars have their value. I thought about buying the Ibanez RG 421 in blue. It’s a stunning piece of a metal machine. There’s also an equivalent in the GIO range which is quite affordable. I’m sure that both of them will sound and play great. Soon I will get a guitar from Aria. This is interesting too.
Hi... I just want to ask a question. Which guitar you prefer below 270 dollars?? Honestly, that 270 dollars I saved in 3 years and it's a huge amount for me 😅 I'm just asking everyone's opinion.... so the viewers can also give your own thoughts.
It depends on what specific guitar do you want to play. If it's a single coil guitar, try to get a old Fender Telecaster from Mexico (2002-2006). If it's a humbucker guitar try to get a old Epiphone SG. I played them both. Fantastic guitars for the money. Just my two cents.
The GSA60 is a brilliant guitar for the money. I reviewed it against a 750 € Fender HSS and it hold up pretty well th-cam.com/video/xHS_fkkUMms/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much. Maybe this helps: If you want to play several styles of music take the GSA60. The GRX40 would cover mostly Hard Rock or Heavy Metal genres.
Tnanks!♡ I want to buy my first electric guitar I doubt buying this one or a pacifica erg112 ! by the way, i'd rather rock and clean riffs than metal. Which one is a better decision for me?
Actually it's not. It is really bad. This Ibanez was my very first guitar ever. I still use it today, but it is basically a different guitar by now. I swapped out the PU's and tied up the Tremolo system, because the strings were out of tune whenever I used it. U can make a cool guitar out of this, but plug and play with this one is not the best deal. Sorry to say that.
Im currently on the process of changing the trem spring with Gotoh PSP spring.i hope it can help in the tuning stability of the guitar.also planning on putting a gotoh locking tuners.
It's up to you. The GSA60 and SA260 are two different types of guitars. What is your style of music you want to play? This could probably answer the question.
I had one of them 9 years ago, it's not what expected, really hard to keep tuned, the cords are too high, not a good experience for me. too much tunning for a beginner to have a decent guitar. I did not recommend it, find the same price Squier, Epiphone you will not regret.
This sounds like you had a bad setup. Normally this guitar plays super comfortable. I never had any issues with the tuners. I would have just swapped them for better ones if they are bad.
@@musicisfun maybe, each guitar is different, I take mine to a luthier, he says you will spend more money in fixing it than buying a good one. That happened with budget guitar, there are no margin for error. if works good.., if not. there is not much to do.
@@inakidb I'm sorry for you Inaki, but instead of letting fixing it I would recommend you to buy another guitar that suits you better and sell the Ibanez. Check out the Squier Affinity Series. They do clock in at the same price and are quite good. Watch out for the "made in Indonesia" guitars. I have one myself and I couldn't praise it enough.
Sorry brother i think the construction is good all guitars made in japan china indonesia mexico usa are created with cnc machine there is nothing thats the best luthier can do that cnc machine cannot make the problem is the hardware and electronics parts any guitar that cost 800€ its ok and when you change those pieces around the 1300€ 1500€ if you choose pro part to be or not to be thats is the cuestion my advice work hard 24/7 show me the money the music is not made for the poor funking system kick donw the barricades my friends and remember the most importan is play 24/7 not working is bad for you health give the most what a put in your neck if you play better than many who carry usa in the neck they would change that guitar to play like you with your broomstick guitar thanks for all and sorry for my english old school long long time ago i from spain now i subscribe jajajaha dont be mad at me
The sound is a joke changes the pickups is more expensive than a guitar and electronics apart the tremolo is a toy and using it loses the tunning instantly very pretty but has a big problem better to invest the money in somethig superior unless it is your first guitar to learn and you dont know if it will be thrown in your room as part of the decoration

the weight in Kg/ Lbs ?
is it neck-dive ?
Round about 3,3 Kilos. No real neck-dive.

@@musicisfun i want a guitar that is very versatile, I mean with HSS configuration. I think ibanez gsa60 is good... any other suggestions?

@@musicisfun thanks bro... I was thinking same.... it's neck pickup is really good and can have a good sustain.
anyone, besides that
Did the same as you and got a used one not that you would know , its a great guitar very pleased , nice vid cheers
Does it have a slim neck? I have small fingers and I am looking for a slim neck.
I checked GRG 170 dx and found neck is wide .
Lucky you. Its slim.
Awesome playing! How well does it stay in tune with the tremelo
Thanks a lot for your comment. The tremolo is okay so far. I blocked it since day one.
great video thanks for the review

Loved ur explanation about the GSA60

Which one should I get?

Which one is a better decision for me?
I guess that the Ibanez suits you best for your musical styles.
I bought this guitar and ı play heavy metal and rock a lot. What u think about this guitar,is this okey for metal?
This should be absolutely possible. A traditional metal guitar has a HH pickup configuration. This one is HSS. So it’s a little more versatile.
How is the tune stability of the guitar ?
It's quite good.
Actually it's not. It is really bad. This Ibanez was my very first guitar ever. I still use it today, but it is basically a different guitar by now. I swapped out the PU's and tied up the Tremolo system, because the strings were out of tune whenever I used it.

I really depends on what production year you've got and if it's from China or Indonesia. Mine is from Indonesia, built 2012 and it's purely fine.
@@musicisfun interesting. Mine is also made in Indonesia, but from 2006. Maybe that makes the difference.

Well, you can teach yourself how to do small repairs and upgrades by watching TH-cam videos. You don’t have to pay a luthier for things like that.
@@musicisfun As beginner I buy a guitar to enjoy playing. not to learn to fix a instrument from the very beginning.

Does it have a neck dive?
Do you mean a truss rod? Yes, is has one.
@@musicisfun no I meant that does it tilt towards the neck while sitting without a strap... As it's body is very thin and lightweight soo..
No, there's no neck dive. It's a good and clever construction.
Gutes Review.
