If I buy a second hand flat from the owner,I get the new deed post registration.. what happens to the previous deed of the owner?? I mean who should keep it?? Legally I am now the owner of the second hand flat and I have the new deed with me..but what about the previous mother deed of the owner?? Should the owner hand it over to me keeping a xerox of it or he can keep the mother deed as it's of no use now???
