    Life Pro Tip, go hiking I swear when you're alone in the mountains there's some strange things that go through your mind and these things make you realize a shit ton of things about you and what REALLY matters.

      totally agree with this one. When you are alone, all tired and somewhere far away from everyone else and nobody can hear your stupid problems, that time is magical for self exploration. When you're tired, there is no energy for bullshit, so you see real yourself and with that comes realisation what you want from life...

    I grew up in a very bad environment and spent my teenage years being a worthless thug, but I realised I wanted to do something more with my life so I did the swedish version of SAT. I did it well enough to get into a nice university and education (master of science in industrial engineering and management), but it was hard seeing as I never had studied seriously before and had to learn the high school stuff as well as the things on our curriculum. I failed the first year "epically", but I retook all classes and got through it. My grades were horrible at first, but I will graduate next month with really good grades; a real struggle I might add.
    I was a late bloomer though. When all the 24 year olds started to leave the university, I entered it. It took time to mentally get from being a low-life who more or less ignored life and whatever it entails to become someone who enjoys life, wants to learn and grow and, instead of wasting time, gets things done. I'm 30 now and behind most of my kin in that sense, but I'm working part time just to get enough money for rent and food so I can spend as much time as possible to grow my business and doing what I want to do.
    I'm confident that it's not too late; that I will succeed and do what I want to do. My "five year window" is just beginning even if I'm "too old" for some people.

    At 21 years old, I decided to not follow my classmates who were straight trying to find a job. I had a strong desire for traveling and decided to leave France to go one year hitchhiking in NewZealand and meeting tones of people’s from everywhere in the world. In just 2 years (I’m 23 now) it’s insane how much I feel I changed and grow. Not just that traveling opened my mind, it help me to know myself ! And learn English, and get experience in other industry, and discovering meditation, and learning so much things through people and books, and gave me the drive to start my business in video. Today, just 2 years after, I’m in Australia, willing to travel over the world now for at least the next 5 years. At the time I’m saving money working in my industry, video and social media, enjoying my hobby which has been to create a TH-cam channel about my travel, and just living the dream. Thanks Gary for saying this to everyone, I really believe that following what drive you is the key for fulfilment, but more than that, you will learn that when you believe hard in something, and that everyday you try even to do a little things in that way to achieve your goal, you always get something from it. Not that you will for sure get what exactly you want, but you will embrace a journey that will make you proud of yourself and gives you hips of opportunities to discover yourself. I wish you a good day everyone, and hope that this kind of videos can be life changing for you ❤️

When we have our passion and dreams set up against the dogma of structured ones. And Here I’ve decided to go completely uncertain about the terms of life following my passion. Trying hard to be process oriented and being happy with the moment itself. Doing what I love. Thank you Gary for such life changing advice 🙌🏻🙌🏻

      I had absolutely no real world experience at 18 and only got my first job at 19 and it was at a chickfila haha, so I feel that, definitely is terrifying attempting to enter the workforce and build a career but the more experience you get the easier it gets to handle it, just try things and find people to help you figure it out. never be afraid to reach out and ask for help :)

    I'm 19, not going to college nor do I want to, literally the day after high school I started a door to door sales job, worked 15 hours a day... Did this for about a month. After that month, got another sales job going b2b selling credit card processing machines, did that for about a month. After this, got another sales job selling cable tv out of huge retail stores.Through this 3-4 month period, fresh out of high school, gained valuable hustler experience ... developing the hustle, the mindset I needed to pursue my dreams, developing empathy to understand how to talk w/ & to people, etc. About 3 months ago, I quit all jobs (learned all I needed to learn) started my own thing (creative(s) marketing)... From the jump, it wasn't easy... Now, with God, the mindset... So much is happening, RAPIDLY, in the span of 6-10 months. AND THIS ISN'T EVEN THE BEGINNING... The resources/knowledge I'm now being exposed to, the work ethic I'm developing... Man... Thanks God & thanks Gary 😂

      Wow! I am not married but I definitely find myself in a very similar situation... i understand the struggle of dreaming of being able to generate a bit more just because helping family is the dream so many people long for...
      Let me tell you something --> never give up on that desire. It is hard, but very much possible 💪🏻.
      I'm commenting because I actually found myself realizing that I needed to move quicker so that I could get to a point where I could actually help family and I found the most awesome fell-out-the-sky video about a month ago.
      Lol I dont wanna sound annoying, but this video I found really helped me and it sounds like it could help you as well.
      I'll drop it here since there's no way to dm on TH-cam 😂.
      Regardless of whether or not you think it could help you... Hey! Just expressing your thoughts here is really good progress

Thanks Gary for helping me realize how lucky I am and how I can take risks and get the best out of life.

    Let's freakin go! For the past 5 months I've started my journey with TH-cam, and my freelance graphic design business. I graduated 2 years ago from college with a massive amount of debt. Gary, you're right. The loans and massive payments will be there REGARDLESS if you chase after your dream or not. I'm chasing after my dreams and taking risk because these ARE my grinding years! Let's make it happen.

  • @fightmeushat
    @fightmeushat 8 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Gary. I'm a fan of your success. I tried to do the entrepreneurial thing at a young age, just a few years out of university.
    What I learned is that I needed more real world experience to drastically increase my chances of being a successful entrepreneur (i've seen many people fail, a lot of people). I honestly feel that someone out of college should go work for a company to get the necessary skill set that they need, regardless of how low the salary may be; this allows for the future-preneur to get real world experience on some one else's dime and from professionals in the field. When the entrepreneur starts his/her venture, they will actually know what they are doing and have a better chance at success.
    I started my first business venture with the wrong skill set and had to learn new skills which was a huge mistake as this wasted my time. Another point, get the specific skills set that you need for your business venture through a job before running off on your own.
    I feel that going directly into a business venture without the necessary experience not only wastes money, but wastes the more valuable thing of all TIME. Although, the experience of being an entrepreneur is way more valuable than being an employee that's forsure.
    Those are my thoughts, what do you think?

    • @sollanbartholomew3287
      @sollanbartholomew3287 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      happygolucky. What many fans don't realize is that by age 8-10 Gary knew exactly what he was going to do for the rest of his life. he also knew what his skillset was.
      If you have this level of self-awareness at that young age go for it, go all in. If you haven't got self-awareness yet, find it FIRST!!! because once you find your place in the world, you can then deploy all the hard work and patience and it will pay off big time.
      I know that I am a late bloomer, I will win, but it took me a long time to get to a decent level of self awareness.
      Gary is the last internet Guru I will need to follow, haha. long journey to get here tho.

It took this entire week to finally realize that this summer's that 'make it or break it' moment. If I don't start now, I'll regret it forever when I'm stuck with a 9-5 job because I wanted to play it safe in marketing when I was 22. Thanks again for making this terrific video, Gary.
