    This should be the future for all major cities. The time saved, relatively low price (compared to traditional delivery trucks), and lower maintenance costs should more than make up for the sacrifices in size.

    • @RealConstructor
      @RealConstructor ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is already happening in my country. Many cities have an environmental zone with ever stricter entry requirements, so delivery trucks are almost non existent in city centers, with the exception of supply of shops. Mail and package delivery were the first and started about 10 years ago with electric mini cars, ebikes etc. Mail delivery was always done (as long as I can remember and I’m 62) with regular bicycles with panniers, on the countryside they delivered with bicycles, mopeds or vans. Even electronic appliances like washing machines, tv’s and refrigerators are delivered by cargo ebike or electric mini cars in some cities.

    I've been working at a body shop for a bit now and extra tips I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.

    This is better than trucks and vans, which often can’t pull over without double parking or blocking the roadway. These bikes, on the other hand don’t have any issues like that. Also, while they have a lower cargo capacity, it means more jobs will be open for those who want to make decent money on the side.

Those old lithium batteries are considered Hazmat ($100 hazmat fee at the dump to put them in landfills) they cannot be recycled (a requirement of actually being environmentally friendly). Dude, seriously I would use that as a bike RV w/ a bunk bed style bed and a small sitting area w/ a fold up desk inside.... That would be fkn SIIIICK, I really really really like that, I could turn that into so many different things. I'd have to have a quick mount system for inside so I could attach and remove supports for heavy loads or baskets and shelving and it even looks like there's a possibility of mounting stuff to the roof too.... Definitely be looking into solar panels and an extra battery so I could charge a few as I road along. Now I'm curious if they have one of the boxes that opens in the back... That would be better for an outdoorsy camper thing and if it folded up then you could hang tenting off it and extend the footprint. 😱😍😍❤️❤️❤️

      Back in the 90s i converted the two granny trikes my grand parents had into a bike RV…. Both had a small basket area and one had a small gas engine. Too the front when off the engineless one and welded a couple of brackets on the back of the other and front forks slipped into then… then a fitted a smaller kid size tire to give it some flex on bumpy paths.
      Back seat cut away to out in a fold out cot instead of basket.
      Made the front seat removable and replaces with a telescoping flag pole that can have a bug net and then tipi tarp set atop it….

      As long as the roads are full of inattentive drivers in oversized SUVs and trucks, not safe enough.

    I dig it, especially for the conversion aspect of living in it and it's environmentally friendly, would definitely add a bigger motor and upgrade the other components 🙂👍🏾

    they should add solar panels on the roof to trickle charge it, and add a battery pack up there too.

    • @ElectricVehicleSpace
      @ElectricVehicleSpace  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      battery is already there. No need for solar for under 20 miles daily rides. But can be install for long range.

      @coreysuffield ปีที่แล้ว +1

      solar panels at the charging station. people always say put solar on the vehicle, but a moving vehicle which constantly going in and out of shadows and not sitting in sun for significant periods would not gain much energy, and it would be dead weight for the rider/battery system. solar on a personal vehicle would work much better because it most likely spends 90% of its time parked.

      @HamguyBacon ปีที่แล้ว

      @@coreysuffield the bike is only going 8 miles a day, even if its going in and out of shadow its still trickle charging the batteries so you don't have to rely on charging it at a base station and will get longer riding hours. how is a flexible solar panel dead weight?

      @@ElectricVehicleSpace I really wish electric was what they are trying to put them up to be but just not going to happen. Spent my entire life having to build and engineer this and that including building a lot of Disney, worked for Martin/boeing /nasa/marvac..Just like solar panels are a waste as well.
