Welcome to the parts of one piece where the true potential of what one piece is is slowly becoming more and more apparent. Chopper's backstory is just the beginning. It just gets deeper and deeper in every way as arcs go by. 😊 Best part of one piece are 1. main crew, their bond, their selflessness for eachother, Luffy's EQ, determination and loyalty 2. One of the best beloved side characters who come from time to time like Dr. Hirluk, Gen-san, Bellemere-san etc (so far) 3. Great backstories of strawhats and characters in it 4. Breadcrumbs of hints, foreshadowings, details that gets one of the satisfying payoffs at various levels as more and more is revealed 5. Underlying Themes in different arcs (which become more and more apparent in larger arcs) Eg: Orange town - treasure, Baratie - dream vs sacrifice, Arlong park - trust (leaning on one's friends), Logue town - determination (beginning and ending), Reverse mountain - purpose in life, Little Garden - honor and rivalry, Drum island - fitting-in/sense of belonging. 6. Overarching themes plot lines, overarching lore (which are always present but will become more apparent later) 7. The mystery, history and lore (which you'll start to notice slowly after 200-250 episodes) 8. Creativity, designs, humor, abilities, fights

This episode aired over 20+ years ago and the fandom still one of the most iconic episodes
Hiriluk's speech is STILL considered one of the most iconic/impactful scenes in the ENTIRE series. It's crazy when you look at how long the story is and how early we met him. Just one great example of Oda's ability to write 3 dimensional & impactful characters. His impact on the story is everlasting despite having such a minor role 😢❤
I'm cried so much during this episodes many years ago. Thank you for letting me experience this pain again, but this time not alone. This show is a treasure.
I always love your point of view. you said about how chopper resemble all east blue crew member, and I never heard about that but when i rethink it again it make a lot sense, what a great reaction channel!!!
Congrats on 100k in advance 🔥🔥
Damn i cried like hell , the "best told backstory" of one piece till now ...
"Is this how it's going to be every time we get a new crew member?" Yeah pretty much 🤣
"The villains in this show don't have any redeeming qualities"....🤭😏😉
who said that? why am i blanking on this
Fun fact: The Japanese voice actress for Chopper is also the same voice actress for Pikachu!
I'm up to date with the latest episodes and I have always planned to re-watch One Piece from the start. I want to thank you guys for helping me to finally do it. You see watching One Piece is like building a sports car, you will feel so happy when you build it, but re-watching it is like buffering the paint job to give it an even better look. I'm so happy for you guys and I hope that from now on, it's going to be 3 episodes per video 😊😊😊
The second you guys started this series I was eagerly anticipating you getting to this arc because I knew how much you would love Chopper.
Oh my God finally! The day has come. Seeing how bubbly and cute this two were I've been waiting since the Buggy arc to see the encounter between Chopper and these two 😁😁😁
I can’t…. I can’t control my tears… This arc made me cry so much the first time I watched it, it is my favorite ❤
FUN FACT: The VA of Chopper is also the VA of Pikachu! That's why it's sooo cute.
Anyways, When guys laugh, it made me laugh as well. ! you guys are so genuine!
I was so so hyped for you two to meet Chopper and see his backstory. I cried together with you 😭❤
I just saw the thumbnail and instantly my heart sank even though I watched this ep many times.
the passing of tissues before the sad sob story is sending me XD She knew
Drum Arc allways hit so hard, even after rereading and rewatching it multiple times, I allway ballin my eyes out!
By the way, when Chopper tries to hide behide a wall he allway does it the wrong way
Thanks you two for making us feel these nostalgias again, I'm greatful. I'm already addicted to the reactions of you guys, carry on😌.
Youve laughed for chopper
Youve cried for chopper
You are now in love chopper
I just KNEW I would cry with you, no matter how many times I watch this I will never be immune.
Thanks for the 3 episodes :) watched the live action with you and now Loving the anime
These are the ties that bind.. for every strawhat! I'm going to have to ask that no matter how heartbreaking the scene is and how much ugly crying you do, you keep sharing your viewing experiences - thinking of things to come! Love that you are so wrapped up in this story now ❤
Ive been caught up on one piece for years and have seen this scene many times and it still makes me bawl like a baby. What a powerful message of hope and belief
Anybody who tries to hurt Chopper will have to answer to these two :D
Chopper's voice and young Sanji's voice are the same.
When you said you have to go through a sad backstory every time a crewmenber shows up, i only thought : Oh boy, that show will show you quite much.
let him launch you off! lmao - best line ever
Doctorine is the oldest person “alive” in one piece. She know the secrets to youth cause shawty killin it.
Great now I'm crying to Chopper's backstory all over again
Since the moment I saw you both get emotional over Shanks farewell I couldn't help but ask myself how would you react to this backstory. At that moment it was nothing but wishful thinking, but now... Thank you so much for embarking in this journey hahaha
We arrived at the episode of everyone's favorite tanuki 😂
Incidentally, that bottle that Dr. Kureha was drinking from had "UME" on the label, so it's probably ume-shu, or Japanese plum liqueur.
dr hiriluk gettin naked was like a way of showing he wasnt armed or a threat to him
Chopper's backstory is still my favorite to this day. So sweet and heartbreaking at the same time.
You will find Chopper's voice soooo cute because it is the same actress for Pikachu! 😁
Chopper is a strong warrior of the sea. He’s also very cute but complements won’t win him over lol
I'm a simple man; I see chopper cry, I start crying too 😭
There's a reason I fly Hiriluk's flag in my room. Truly a good man.
Pain, just pain. Thats all I've got for Chopper's backstory. For me, nothibg hurts more than that mushroom moment. All because he saw a skull and crossbones did he think it would save his friend
One Piece is the best story ever told. Im glad yall embarked on this youreabouttoballyoureyesoutandlaughyourheartout journey
Dr. Hiruluk's speech about death is one of the best speeches in the whole story, if not the best.
