For those who don’t know their geography, Kuwait is next Saudi Arabia; and Arabia is off of the Persian Gulf, just like Kuwait. Because of this, not only do they have extreme temperatures; but also high humidity with sticky dew points. In other words, Kuwait is not for the weak, it takes a special kind of person to deal with it. Unless your from Southeast Asia, Southern India, the Caribbean, South America, or of course the Middle East itself; don’t recommend that everyone visits. If you do, unless you got the right skin: ✋🏿✋🏾✋🏽, or you tan but not burn, lighter skinned people recommend to cover up like Drew in the video, and bring PLENTY of water and hydrating foods like: Watermelons, Cucumbers , Coconuts, or any other kinds of Foods or drinks that hydrate or at least have electrolytes.
As a US Marine veteran, I was stationed in Kuwait for about 3 months during the Iraq War in 2002 and I can tell you the heat is ridiculous. Being from the south gave me an edge over most people but we absolutely had to stay in our tents during the day. Oddly enough, as hot as it is during the day, it's just as cold as night
I’m not gone lie, I didn’t realize how hot it was on those routes, but whenever we stopped and had to dig foxholes at night I realized how cold it was in 03. Canteen has hella ice inside of it.
Lol. Was in Camp Buehring forrrr 5 months, I think. 120 degrees on average. Stepping off that plane... That heat was like a brick in the face🥵 Got use to it quick. Honestly, it made me kinda horny .. just me? I know it wasn't. Our squad leader kept telling us to stay away from girls wearing Pink PT belts bc they were selling themselves, like. What🤨 I did ask a bunch of guys how they felt about being so far away from their significant others. Yeah. They basically said they all had boo thangz while they were there like dang.. I was missing ouTTT. Got sidetracked for a second there. Hot place though. I do miss that seafood every Friday.. Saturdays. One of those. Covering my food from the sand on the way back to the tent. That good life👍 (((Edited))) Ohhhh and the USOooooo😮 How could I forget the Movie Theater and the games. Lol 😅😅😅dang. I Might have to go back
@@Six-hr2ve Yeah you kinda went rogue there for a minute, but I felt what you were saying. We would periodically have scud missiles fired near our position, so I didn't really get horny much. The prostitution really had me confused. It was kinda weird seeing all these 'strong independent' warrior women shamelessly selling sandy cheeks lol
😂 This reminds British troops who immediately surrendered in the summer during 1915 in ww1. the invasion against the Ottoman Turks in Kuwait because they could not stand the temperature in the trenches.😂
I was stationed in Saudia Arabia back in the 90's. We got there in the spring and it was already 100 in the day. We left the first day of summer and the high was 130 and 85 at night. 70 - 80 percent humidity. The Saudi's would look at you like What's the problem?
I was stationed over in Kuwait and it got up 144 degrees with a 100% humidity one day and I can most def say that was one of the worst days ever! My uniform was soaked, he’s def not exaggerating about how hot it is over there.
I was stationed in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait for 2 separate years when I was in the military. It was no joke. Hot and humid! Low temps in the 90s. They stored water on the rooftops, so after morning company exercise there was a race to get back to the barracks and shower first, to use the cooler water that had been sitting in the pipes, inside the building, which had time to cool down over night; because once that was gone, the "cold water" that made it down from the roof into those pipes, was TOO HOT TO SHOWER WITH!!!!! That's right, the COLD water alone was TOO HOT to use to shower! The dust storms, being forced to run on what looked like clear days, only to get back to the barracks to spit out blood and sand grains and dust. Lord it was terrible.
I remember deploying to Kuwait in 2020. It is a dry heat and it takes only a few minutes to start sweating walking outside for a few minutes. The hottest temperature I have ever experienced is about 118 degrees in Kuwait. The coldest temperature for me has been -13 while in Nebraska.
Every three sentences him commenting "it's so hot" as if that's not the primary reason for him going, and then almost dies because of a self-imposed challenge...like Dub said, that's exactly what he gets (harsh but truth) Also, as someone from the Midwest, I'll gladly take extreme cold over extreme heat.
Temperatures in Middle East can go both ways depending on which season; in the day it can be a damn freaking oven but at night, temps are kinda like late autumn nearing winter.
I’ve been deployed to Kuwait twice in 2016 and 2020. We was frying eggs outside lol. Plus to have massive dust storms and the wind blowing in your face like a hair dryer, to even trees catching on fire and birds falling out the sky cause it was extremely hot.
as a arab watching this, kinda sad how unused yall are to hospitality that u think what the ppl are recommending him to do is dangerous, Thank god for being born in places where guests are like family.
And here I thought the heat in Vegas was ridiculous lol, the highest it's ever been during the summer was 110-116. Alot of people think because I'm from Vegas I'm automatically used to it, like no ma'am. This shit isn't for the weak
-23 with a windchill making it feel like -42 was the coldest I ever felt here in Nebraska and 115 was the hottest I felt in Texas and Louisiana. I pick a hot day any day over extreme cold.
I live in south Algeria (the north of the south, the gate to the Sahara ) in the summer the temperature is between 42 C and 48 C and we kinda used to it but for foreigners they will suffer here a lot.
You guys should definitely check out Ruhi Cenet’s video on visiting hottest desert 🏜️ in the world aka the Lut Desert. I believe it is EVEN HOTTER than Jahra is.
I was stationed at Camp Buehring and it would be a 100 at midnight. During the day you have to put your hands in your pockets so they would not burn when the wind blow. The wind gave you a cool breeze when it was 113 and below
Was deployed a couple of times around there and Qatar. Very humid because of the Persian Gulf. 115-130 during the summer with 100 percent humidity is a very common day. 🥵
Since I am Algerian and accustomed to extreme heat and extreme cold, I can confirm that the cold is more difficult than the heat. In the desert, you can find a palm tree for shade under it, or a camel drinking from its milk, and you can catch something to eat, but if you are in the far reaches of the Djurdjara Mountains, the problem is not Not only the cold, but the lack of oxygen and difficulty breathing as well, so the cold is much more difficult
I was deployed in Kuwait from Jan-July of 2021 and it got up to 134 and the lowest was in the 40s and it felt like a frozen tundra because of it. The heat was bad but it wasn’t too bad if you can handle the feeling of an oven or blow drier hitting you in the face especially when the “wind” is blowing. Saudi Arabia was bad too but not nearly as Kuwait.
I used to live in KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in the desert for 8 years, when you live in these condition you get used to it, so it's normal to live in 40 - 50 Celsius Degrees, sometimes it's fun really. I miss those days
Ive been through a winter without heat and a summer with just a fan and Im telling you I'd rather be in the heat. The cold is a different type of struggle.
I was deployed there in 03 it was 120, 90F was considered a nice day on the way home stopped in Germany it was 75 with a light breeze everyone put on a fleece because we got cold
Hey you know, I could totally sleep outside there. It would be a struggle to fall asleep but I have done it with hot weather and sweating all night. Not going to lie, I would definitely go on a trip with this dude.
IT IS HUMID BECAUSE THEY ARE RIGHT ON THE GULF. I was all over the Middle East during Desert Storm. That heat was no joke! Salalah, Oman was the most humid place I had been. It was like breathing in steam!
If anyone in the comment section is from Houston I implore you MUST visit Aladdin’s Kitchen. They have two locations in Houston. I went to Kuwait while i was in the Marines and that place sucks. It was our acclimation point before going to Iraq. We were in Kuwait for a week and the entire time it felt like someone had a hair dryer blowing on us but it was the wind. After you acclimate its not bad. I remember walking to the gym in Iraq and i thought it felt nice outside. I looked at the temp and it was 126 degrees F.

Which one? My answer would be extreme cold bc you can layer up. In the extreme heat, you can only take off but so much clothing. You can walk around naked. But if it's cold you can bundle up
I remember back in Aug 2002 going to my first deployment in Kuwait, it was 0300-0400hrs in the morning and it was 98 degrees coming off the plane and the morning when the sun was up I wanted to punch every bit of sunlight in the face 😂 the Iraq in 2003 had the nerve to be cold at night in March

Mixing humidity with these Temps is literally hell on earth
