Welcome to a new 4km Walking Tour! Welcome to the last day of the Great Magallanes-Elcano Sailboat Regatta in the Port of the Bay of Cádiz! From September 7 to 10, 2023, this spectacular event was held in the capital of Cadiz.
The Magallanes-Elcano Tall Ship Regatta commemorates the first circumnavigation of the world completed 500 years ago by the expedition of Ferdinand Magellan and Juan Sebastián Elcano.
Among the most emblematic ships we find the 'Cuatehmoc' from Mexico, the 'Sagres' from Portugal, the Polish 'Dar Mlodesky', among others.
Thousands of people have enjoyed not only the boats, but also different activities, such as free concerts, Carnival performances, drone shows, among others. All of this in the magnificent Cádiz dock which, in the short term, will be definitively integrated into the city with a total transformation of the site.

It feels like Cadiz has the most festivals in Spain.
And every time I see the huge crowds at Spanish festivals, I wonder whether the crowds are mostly Spanish or whether a significant portion are from other countries. It's amazing that such a huge crowd of people pours out of Spain's population at any time.😀
