You're giving me the courage to do this repair on my 70. I bought the funky green panel 6 years ago. I've been intimidated by the job all these years. Thanks for showing exactly what to expect. I think I can do it.
Just picked up a 71 Bus which is in pretty good shape but does have a bit of rust under the windshield that I want to get after. Great job on the video and sweet install on the windshield!!
Hi! Next time when you are installing a windshield try some cord that has been soaked with soapy water. The fixed part looks awesome! Good tip with the wire brush! :)

Seriously impressed man!
That is a big job and you did better than some actual fabricators/body workers I have seen!
Thanks dude!
Really nice repair that dude!
Thank you. I'm about to try this myself. Fingers crossed.
I am impressed. For what you are doing it is very good, just make sure to protect the butt welds on the back.
For sure, Thanks for the tip

I have a van which needs work. A 1972 first late bay. Where did you get your shelter, as I only have outside to do it, too.
Nice I have a 72 parts bus, I got my shelter from Costco
DUDE this is awesome!!! Where are you located at?? I would love to have you as a body man for my 78 Type 2 Westfalia!! Great video!!
Sweet. I need to do this on mine.
Where did you buy the new part of the windsheald?
What kind of welder do you use? MiG? Flux core?
Probably is MIG. Flux is less cleaner, with some spatter
