im watching this with no period.. i miss having it tbh 😪 my body feels broken without it.
edit: my period was gone for 1026 days around that but now its fully on time. I had an extremely low bmi of 13 so thats prob the reason

For anyone out there struggling, getting your period back (especially naturally ie not on the pill) is one of the most rewarding things about recovery! It has since been one of the things I am most proud of myself for in my own recovery and it is never too late to start to work to get it back. Eating whatever dang food you want is the most helpful💜

@@arianelegros1774 I’m so sorry to hear that love :( Hang in there and keep challenging that eating disorder voice in your head. I promise you recovery is worth it even if it’s hard to feel that way right now🤍 You are beautiful the way you are regardless of whatever number the scale reads. Focus on things you love to do!! Maybe that’s watching movies, coloring, traveling, reading, etc. Focus on rediscovering WHO you are and what you love to do rather than being worried about food an exercise. You’ll get there🤍

I gained some weight back in November and got my period back after six months of not having it but lost it again after two months (//TW) when i went down to the path of restricting again due to work and missed meals. (TW ends) currently, i'm trying to recover again and this video is probably a sign from God that i should try because recovery is not impossible. thanks miranda

Thats what happened to me too! In the past getting my period back has been a sign that I am allowed again to go back into my ED. (which sounds super illogical but thats an ED brain for you lol) Now that I am much more mentally healthy in my recovery I've kept my period for 4 months which I haven't been able to do for 4 years 🥰

I had my period at a young age. Age 8 was when I began bleeding. But it stopped cause of a medicine I was taking. Which were antidepressants. My parents and I didn’t know it was those meds that cause it to stop. But I ended up meeting a lot of doctors who didn’t have any idea why it stopped. It wasn’t until I began taking birth control did I finally have a period. But I kept taking them until I was 24. I’m 25 now ( birthday was yesterday) and sadly around February 2024 before I turned 25. I ended up taking antidepressants again, which I regretted. Because I regained my old weight and my period had once again stopped completely. I don’t want to go back to taking the pills due to weight and pain. It appears my body is not healed it seems.

sorry for the really late response. To start off really commit to yourself because being consistent is not easy. Make sure to eat how least 3 meals and 3 snacks a day and listen to your mental hunger. Eat a lot of healthy fats and high calories foods as well. Getting good sleep is also essential for getting your period back because that the time when your body heals itself. As for exercise, I’d say to go cold turkey or stop it completely if you would like to get your period back faster. Overall just being consistent in everything is the key. I really wish the best for you sister😊. Good luck and keep me updated!

You cut your hair! it looks even prettier short wow!
For me I got my period back two months ago (which was very very little and I had it for only two days), but still I haven't had my period after that .. dont know why, coz I have been eating well and do light excercises only.

I suspect my issue is stress...
Everything should work just fine, I don't really have any health problems.
Except for stress. Idk why, I shouldn't have a reason to be stressed out either, but my stress management has always been terrible and to be honest, I just feel bad :/

Totally unrelated, but i need to feel more normal.
Does anyone else felt horrible when they were in a bad ed point and people would talk about how skinnier they were?? I mean... i relapsed last month (after being in a diet for some time) and lost some kilos and everytime someone told me i lost weight i would feel so bad about myself! It would always makes me remember that i do have a body and that it is not skinny enough, even when someone says that as a good thing. My bf did think that was a stupid of me and did mock me a bit (he was already mad when i told him that, mostly because he was really worried about my health, but he is really suportive of me and is trying his best to make me feel better) and i just need to feel like someone else has gone through the same ;/

Yesss ! I think i get what you mean.. my mom talks a lot about how skinny i once was, and it really hurts me bc then its like my ed is like "if you once could be so skinny, you could easily do it again" i hate it ://
Anyways hope your doing better xx

@@sarabang383 oh :/ i can totally understand you :/ i gained a bit of weight recently and i just feel horrible, specially because when i was at my worse i would have people telling about how skinny i was, however i dont have people telling me that i was skinny in the past.. i think its mostly because my mom and my bf still want me to gain more weight (even tho im not even near underweight)
Its really hard not to go down that ed path when feeling like this :/ it is a cruel illness
Oh well... i hope only the best for you and me

Hey! Ik you were studying to be a nutritionist. I have no idea weather you graduated and became one yet but if not the title is a bit misleading.
:( and although I’m sure you very well educated with certain topic you’ve been learning I don’t think it’s right to falsely claimed that you were a nutritionist when you’re still studying. Sorry if I’m wrong I just wanna make sure!!

Can someone tell me why do I want my period back? Like, what would happen if I just let it go... Lol

Not having your period can lead to dry skin and hair, brittle nails, poor temperature control, infertility, and osteoporosis. Apparently it can also contribute to uterine cancer, but I'm not sure if it has been confirmed.
