Unfortunately, the pandemic has brought a lot of grief for a lot of us, on a positive side I found your channel and enriched my drumming ! Mr. Wald you are the most valuable find on TH-cam ,you're teaching technique ,you're playing your smoothness, has absolutely taught this 59 year old drummer some fantastic gifts along with breaking down some of these crucial songs played by drummer gods ! Thank you for helping me facilitate some of these tricky songs, you are an awesome teacher sir.
thanx so much brother! Glad its helping. I definitely don't consider myself a teacher, just more of a "I can show you that" type of a guy. More to come. I need to do the Tom Sawyer tutorial
Excellent feel! your kit sounds amazing (cymbals and drums). Been a long time since I have seen a 6" tom!!! How you ever got your snare sounding that good with a black dot.........amazed!
Thanx Kyle! I don't think I'm doing anything different w/ the dot, medium high tuning with an old head (donut) on it to muffle a little bit, bottom head cranked tight. thanx for watching man!
Very very nice and wonderful sound! I'd change the stereo effect L/R. Now the spectrum is as you are behind the drums (floor tom on the R) not audience perspective.
I personally prefer the drummer‘s perspective and would argue that the audience’s perspective could be confusing here, since it corresponds to the video
@@JeffWald OK thanks! I thought they were Pearls and some type of Turkish cymbals but wasn't sure,so thanks! At one time I owned a set of Turkish cymbals by Turkish!
@@michaelcavazuti3270 oh yeah?? I just got them last Thursday and am really digging them. I shot a video about them a few days ago, I think I'll schedule it for Saturday morning once I edit it down

Thanks again brother!
Very nice Jeff. They cymbals are nice too. Really smooth
I'm calling them "a nice find" :)
Sounds outstanding! You’ve got a new sub. Enjoyed your performance 😎🤙
Thanks for the sub!
Wow that was great and the new cymbals sound fantastic! They have a very musical sound that blends well with the kit.
Yeah I'm digging them for sure. I did a video about them already and need to edit it. I like the "whooshhhhhhh" of the crashes
Nice very nice ...
So awesome Jeff. Super solid!
Glad you liked it!!
👍 😎

ahh, good point! I haven't thought about that but it might be time. I've kinda got every angle now

@@lew97 In this clip the cameras are behind, aside and often in front of the drummer. Of course it is a matter of preferences.
How about drumming to Stings “The Lazarus Heart?”
another great Sting song! I did Be Still my Beating Heart & Desert Rose last week that'll I'll be posting. Might have to revisit Lazarus
What cymbals and drums are these?
Pearl drums & Turkish cymbals. I've got details in the description if you want to read more bout them
