Well I got to volunteer at a convention for the first time and thought it'd be fun to make a vlog of my off hours. So I hope you enjoy my little experience at Toronto Comicon 2023!

Cute plant! It looks like a haworthia to me, honestly my advice would be to neglect it 😂 It'll need to adapt to its new location, and over-watering is a major killer of cacti and succulents!

I love conventions so much! Especially the artist alley. It is my favorite place to shop. I don't tend to buy a lot of figures at conventions because the prices are usually more than the price online, so unless its something I've been having trouble finding or a really good price, I usually spend more in the artist alley or small things.
So happy to hear you had a good time volunteering 😊 It really is a great way to connect with others, maybe get some new friends while "giving back to the community" and gaining some skills as well! Done it so much over the year, it's a lot of fun and met so many great people that way!

It’s a Tanuki (pronounced Taw-noo-ki) a species of raccoon dogs native to Japan. They are a counterpart to a Kitsune. As yokai spirits they mischievous and have the ability to shape shift.
This year I'm going to two conventions in Toronto (my hometown) for the first time since Covid happened. I used to go to them every year so I'm super excited 💙This brought me back some good memories of convention center's and also how packed they are too, it's going to be such a shock being in crowds after so long haha. It was really cool to hear about the volunteer experience, Saturday's are always the busiest but I'm glad you enjoyed your time! Sounded like hectic fun 😂

Love the cons. You have got to do cosplay. It changes the whole experience and makes it better. You should do a cosplay video as well. Enjoy! Love the videos. Keep ‘em coming.
I was also at ComiCon but only attended on Saturday, by the end of the day I was kinda burned out as well since my partner and I sped through everything in one day. In the same booth you got the poster, my partner got the same one as you, (the two eyepatch girls) and I picked up some others. Hope you had fun and had some time to recharge after the con. I feel pretty exhausted post-con but honestly always such a good time :) I'm planning to go to Anime North this year, hope they reply to the volunteer request
The early years of going to cons are always the most fun lol. Enjoy them while you can. I wish it could be that fun for me again, but after going to them for 15 years its hard to be excited for them anymore. I still like going but it's not the same as when I started.
It's cool to see more anime related stuff taking over comic conventions! I'm hoping to be able to run my own panel this year, and I also have plans to be a vender next year selling my own tee shirts, stickers, keychains!
I took my friend to Toronto comic con, it was his first time to a con. As a veteran con goer it was fun just watching him enjoy the con lol. Also going to anime north this year to cosplay!

I think I have one of those same little cactuses/succulents, looks like a Zebra plant! TRUST ME they are super hardy - I keep mine on a window sill with partial sun where it gets some moisture from a nearby sink, and I'll soak the whole potted part/roots in a container with water for like a minute once a week. If i ever forget to water I'll hold the whole plant under a running faucet for a couple of seconds. They're super forgiving and will live fine if you forget for a couple months (like me oops, haha).
Hi Danielle, awesome video! Your new plant is a succulent by the way, but not a cactus :D I'm not a succulent person and I'm struggling with these too but the most important thing is probably to not overwater them. Good luck with it :')

I’ve been going to cons for a while now and it’s been super cool to see how they’ve over evolved over the years. For this con, I actually went with my younger cousins; it was so much fun being there with kids experiencing their first con. They’re big into funkos, Pokémon, and kawaii characters, and Toronto Comicon certainly did not disappoint! I’m going Fan Expo and Anime North as well, and I’ve committed to doing a cosplay at one.. just not sure which character yet!

Omg I'm going to AN and FE too this year! For the first time in SOO long, I used to go to AN as a teenager every year until Covid. I'm super pumped to go again. I hope you have an amazing time, can't wait to see all the incredible cosplays 🥰

Also about the cactus, I live in Sweden and had the same problem lol. Our climate is so cold so I noticed if I don't keep my cactus in the window it won't survive. And I only give it water once a month or even twice when it's super cold!

So fun!! Question: when you were showing the Bulbasaur planter, there were some Rin and Len acrylic stands with them holding flowers. Do you know where those are from?
So I got one from eBay and the other from Yahoo Japan auctions using buyee as the proxy. It was awhile ago and I was just looking for generic acrylic stands of vocaloid characters and I happened to find both separately. I hope that helps. 😅
