Gone to the Snow Cats ? And Huge Fire in Downtown Alpena

- Today is a mixture of multiple days all in one. We start out smashing pumpkins, then we head over to visit the kitties that are available for adoption. A huge fire broke out in Downtown Alpena, so we had to get a generator and power cords to keep the coolers running at the deli since they shut down power to all of downtown. And then I take Dan to the airport so he can fly back home to California.

Shelby (freezing when something touches her back)
That fire was crazy I hope nobody got hurt!
Also I tried finding Zombie Skittles and we went to 3 different stores and couldn’t find them at all lol

Kira is a mix of Shelby, Shiloh, Oakley and Memphis. Her ans Shelby freeze when they feel something on their back, her and Shiloh roll in crabs, her and Oakley have the black fur that always looks so pretty when they got snow on it and her and Memphis are both ingredient thieves and snuggle buds! Soooo cute

I can definitely understand being fascinated by fire because of your Grandfather, my Mother was a firefighter and it was always so amazing to watch both them fighting the fire as well as the fire itself.
But as an historian, seeing the history being destroyed due to the fire is so hard.
Prayers for the brave firefighters. I do not believe I have seen the ship before. Thanks for crawling through Dan. You are endlessly entertaining.

Siberian cats are actually really cool! They're very sweet, and healthy, and they can get BIG! They're one of my favorite cat breeds. They also produce less of the protein that causes most cat allergies, so people have less severe reactions to them.
Sad to see that ReStore get burned up... Habitat for Humanity does a lot of amazing work, and they rely pretty heavily on sales from the ReStores to keep funding, along with donations and such. I hope no one was hurt! Hugs and love from California!
I thought I saw their sign there. I bet it was so big because of things like paint & wooden stuff. I remember a art store that burned down years ago & it was like that.
my dad was a captain on the North York Fire Dept.. for for many years... he had the IAFF magazine come and i remember reading about and seeing the pictures the massive fires in Chicago and Detroit!! they always had the funerals on the back page!!😔

Ahh those cats were so cute! Silly Kira playing with the crab. I'm kind of fascinated by fire as well.. Fascinated, and also really horrified of it ever since the house right next my parents' was set ablaze and burned down in the middle of the night a few years ago. I already lived on my own back then but went for a visit the following weekend after the fire and saw the aftermath. The neighbor's house, which no one lived in at the time, burned down completely. And the fire would've spread to our lot if our dog didn't wake up my parents. Yeah, that was really scary and I've even had quite a few nightmares about fire after that. Not in a long while, though, luckily.
Duckkis I remember my dog saved us my brother accidentally microwaved his pizza for 12 minutes and by the 7th minute my dog went crazy and there was steam every where. Dogs really save and love you, what did we do to deserve them? I question myself everyday
The airport in my town burned down recently. The oldest running airport in Illinois. :'( Hope no one got hurt!

Last March our small town family furniture store was on fire and our county and the surrounding counties were so helpful to put the fire out Thank you Firefighters

Dan was having so much fun pumpkin smashing lol. The snow looks pretty on the trees. Kira lol now she needs a bath haha. I haven't had crab legs in years. Kitties I love Kitties and have 2 myself. I wish I had Dan's energy. I hope nobody was hurt in the fire, it looks like it was bad.

I am fascinated by fires too. It started when I was 4, I would sit by the fireplace and watch it burn, feeling the heat. It would look so cool, I’d see the colors, even blue, and I’d be fascinated

It's been a year and a half since my childhood home burned down, and it still upsets me to see buildings burning down. We lost almost everything. It was only my grandfather and myself home at the time with the dogs. If it hadn't been for our dog Franklin we wouldn't have known until it was too late to escape unharmed. My grandfather got burned by the heat when he tried to but it out, but he's fine now. I was fine (aside from what seems to be mild PTSD), and all of our dogs were just fine.
Shelby is probably getting to know my old elderly black lab husky mix named Basil.
