Nothing about parents dying makes me cry or anything like that, because I’ve been down that road. I’ve been horrible, I watched porn when I was 10 not knowing what it was, and it was because of my friends. That is why I looked it up. Everyone else knew what it was. Not me, I haven’t done drugs, but I have thought of suicide, ever since then and my dad dying of Oliogodendraglioma when I was 7, yeah this is not that emotional for me

I dont think anyone will see this but, when i was younger, me and my father got in a fight, then he went off to work, he was building a house (he was a construction worker). It was a two story house. He was working on the roof when... he fell off. He landed on his head, he somehow survived the tragic accident, but he had to learn everything over again. Its one of the saddest things to see when you watch your father learn every single thing over AGAIN. I am super lucky he is alive. So for everyone out there, try to make up for any fight, no matter who is in the wrong. Anything could happen. Life is too short for fights and arguments.
Edit: I came back because I wanted you guys to know, my father is doing the best he has his whole life. I find a way to cherish every moment with him while i can! He said that after his injury he saw God, and god told him that he had to stay and see me grow. And that keeps me going.
I feel you. My father also had something similar with electricity that kills a bull. He was also working in construction near an electric tower and he fell. He passed away several times and also came back to life over and over again. He ended up dying but an awesome woman decided to bump the voltages a bit up and he was brought to life once again. He was in a comma for a long time and he had fo learn how to do everything AGAIN like your father. Luckily I was 4 and ai didnt see anything but Im thankful to God for letting me have my father next to me. Hioe the best for yall.

The first time I heard it a few years ago I didn't either. I rewatched it now, as in, I actually only listened to it. And for the first time in years I've actually had tears falling down my face. I remember probably 8ish years or so back Marc came to my high school… I had never struggled with anxiety or depression at that point in my life but he was still an amazing speaker that resonated with me even back then at a young age. Going back and watching a similar speech of his now that I am an adult and have struggled with serious depression and anxiety in the past, this just hits so much different 🙌🏻🥹
Just because you didnt cry, it doesn’t mean you’re heartless. It either means your eyes are too dry to cry anymore, or you’ve gotten used to bottling up your emotions. It’s more than okay to let it out, and cry. Know that I love you and it’s never too late for anything. As someone who may be struggling with some anxiety and mild depression, I bottle up my emotions and then cry silently in my bed at night. About everything. IM SO TIRED OF CRYING SILENTLY! But I reassure myself by knowing that IT WILL get better. My main advice to to have hope, and try to make friends that will support you when you’re down. Also, if you can, get a pet. I was actually born with a condition that deprives me of my ability to show emotional expression. That's why I didn't cry.

that's understandable. not everyone are able to express their emotions and feelings the way they want including me. but you could start with small actions, showing appreciation, thank them, say nice words to them, help them with something, prepare a meal or a simple gift to them, or even write a letter with what you really want to tell them. actions could be a beautiful way to show love. Every time I watch something like this I just cry and think about the day when my parents are gone. i'm seventeen now and have never forgotten how empty i felt in that second thinking i'd lost my mom during the night. it makes me appreciate her a lot more.

When I was 12, I was at a band rehearsal After school. My dad texted me, and said “your moms sick, I’m coming to pick you up” I said “ok”. 3 hours later we were standing in the ER talking to my mom who had a ruptured brain aneurysm and a massive brain bleed and had a stroke and we didn’t know if she could hear or not and I was thinking the last time I talked to my mom was when I had to hang up quickly cus my bus got to the school. I never told her “I love you.” 3 more hours and we r still in the ER thinking that she’s not coming home. 3 more hours and we took a long drive to a hospital that was her only chance. 3 more months. She’s ok but I have not recovered. I starved myself for a month to lose weight and worried my family. 6 more months and here we r. I cried almost every night. Now no matter how hard I try I can’t. Until I watched this video and got to the end where he mentioned her funeral. Right now I’m thinking, that could have been me. Looking down at my mom and her having on a beautiful dress on and thinking “I never was able to say I love you for the last time for her to hear”. Sorry for ranting but it is currently 12:30 am and this is the only time out of the day I can cry
Nymphadora Tonks I’m so sorry for you and your mother and your family, when I was 7 in 2nd grade my grandparents and my mom came to my 5 year old sisters graduation, I was jealous of her because she got them all to herself for a day, well my grandpa complained about a headache and feeling hot and cold all day well that night after my grandparents got home (they live a hour and a half away) my grandpa went out to get groceries well when he got home he got out of the car and just collapsed, my granda came out and saw him and called 911, he had a heat stroke, he almost died and I remember how it affected my mother she was so sad and depressed, we went to see my grandpa and was asleep and we weren’t sure if he was going to die or not, it’s 5 years later and I’m now 12, my grandpa will never be the same, he has lost the ability to move his left side like his left arm and left hand, he can’t speak very well and he had to relearn everything, I’m not saying it will get better but I am saying to have hope and I no I might never know what it’s like for my mother to get a stroke but still I have experienced the pain of almost losing a family member, and I hope that your mother gets better, never stop hoping

This Hits harder than it should have. I lost a relationship of 4 years because I was stupid. I loved her but I made mistakes. One day she couldn't take it anymore and broke up. @@germansausage7310 Bro, I feel for you so much. I did the same exact thing, made a few mistakes, some pretty big ones. We managed to get through those one at a time, until the really big one. About 3 months off our anniversary, and a day before her birthday, I fucked up real bad and it ended soon after. I sent the girl I love off in tears because I got greedy(no, it wasn't related to money).
Since then, my mind has been a complete mess, I've spent multiple weeks alone, angry at myself and the world, unable to focus properly in class as my head spun in an endless cycle about what I should've done differently, it has been draining. So I'm gonna give you some advice, brother to brother. It'll take a while, I haven't even fully done this myself, but you need to forgive yourself. You need to take the mistake you made, and grow to accept it, use it as a lesson for the future. And I especially feel the part about not being able to fall in love since, I've been growing distant from everyone close to me, forcefully dispelling any idea of love. Truth be told, I actually think I'm still in this phase as well. It sucks, I know. But you need to get up and face the pain head on, you won't heal otherwise. I get it, you love Marie, you feel incomplete without her and the guilt rips you apart, I really do get it. But the only way my life has been seeing any positive change has been to move past that. Again, I'm right where you are, I understand. You need to move on, I need to move on, We, as remorseful, guilty heartbroken individuals, need to move on. And once you start being able to move on, her taking you back will just reset your progress, move you back to a state of emotional and/or mental dependence, and that'll hinder you even more.
