    Uff a bit of a long one this time lol🤙🏼
    Testing out the stealth version of maglock’s affordable pedal option. Over all a great compact and stealthy pedal which I’ll continue to ride so I can give a long term review.
    Proud to now be a brand ambassador for maglock. For a free accessory use code CALAVERAML. Using the code does help the channel out in future videos.

    Another fire video as usual. I used to ride clipless but after my last crazy crash I converted to flat pedals. Haven’t crashed since then. 😆 but miss the “clipped in” feeling on the uphill. This seems like a solid alternative. A little pricey but maybe I’ll ask Santa for a set 😂 don’t think my wife approves this purchase after dropping a chuck of change on my new bike

    Hello, great videos man! 💯💯💯Have a question: I installed my MAGLOCK on my MTB (these are my first magnetic pedals), and I am not so impressed. Yes, they keep my feets on the pedals, but I need stronger connection. Since you have both MAGLOCK and MAGPEDs (200N version) please tell me which are with stronger magnets? Thank you!

      Hey bro sorry for the late reply for some reason your comment was under review….any ways I actually just got the hustlebikelabs pedals and those are by far the strongest pedals right now. The video will be up in a couple of hours so keep an eye out.

    I ride flat pedals and was looking for something that keeps my feet on the pedals through jumps and tech but don’t want to be clipped in. Would you recommend these? Also to “clip out” do you just pull your feet off like normal? Thanks

      Check out this video. You kinda roll it off. It’s really easy once you get use to it.

    I recently tried the Crank Bros. enduro clipless and have this “clipped in” fear. Why? Because I can’t clip out in time to plant my foot down at technical sections, which makes me more nervous than I already am. So my question is, with enough force, can I clip out out with a knee jerking force with no need to twist my ankles?

    • @CalaveraChronicles
      @CalaveraChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think a lot of people are on the same boat as you because I am lol. That’s why I wanted to shed light on this magnetic pedal option.Yup you can pull in any direction. I wouldn’t say it gives you a complete clipped in feel but there’s definitely a connected feeling as long as you take your time in setting them up right. With magnetic pedals you get most of the clipless pedal benefits with non of the danger. I know they’re not meant for everyone but if they work for you I’m sure you’ll enjoy the ride even more. 🤙🏼

    Thanks for sharing your review, i need to try them, i had a bad fall on clipless and injuring my right ribs. How’s the disengagement of the maglock from the clipless pedals. How easy??

    • @CalaveraChronicles
      @CalaveraChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem! I want to say it’s lien someone holding your foot to the pedal only using finger tips. Just have to fight the resistance which isn’t too hard but something you gotta get use to.

    Always been a flat-pedal rider (w/stealth soles to grip those tacky pins, a.k.a shin tenderizers). Works great for rock gardens, like Nobel's, cuz it allows you to dab as needed. Do the mag options still allow for this survival skill? Always had the bros press me to go with egg beaters, only to later see them go the flat pedal route after a few lock mishaps. Now wondering if mag is the best of both worlds.

    • @CalaveraChronicles
      @CalaveraChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So I would say that the maglock pedals are in their own category not super solid like the clipless and not as free as flats. Exactly like you said in the middle of both. So it’s like the grippiest flat pedal or the most easy to clip out pedal. Most of the benefits of the clipless pedal with non of the danger. I love it big time!

    • @CalaveraChronicles
      @CalaveraChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CalaveraChronicles Strong magnets are no joke, so with a name like Fort Knox,...Uff! Only have a couple of months on my no clip 5Tens, so maybe late 2021 will consider. Not trying to harp on the clip option, but love the fact that when out on a ride you can do some crazy boulder climbing, w/just Stealth. But can see benefits of clip shoe hitting the perfect spot on the pedal right at the start of your decent (not having to adjust mid-ride).

    • @CalaveraChronicles
      @CalaveraChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also felt what you felt. I’m actually on the Fort Knox(maglock) now. They feel amazing. Since you had the enduro I feel like you would benefit off the Fort Knox. The bond is much stronger. And I feel like the magnets are in a perfect position. So I feel connect over the spindel.

    • @stevenkurth3729
      @stevenkurth3729 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not sure if I want to go to Fort Knox route just because of added weight. I am not that strong in my legs as I am a recovering quadriplegic so I have no feeling in my legs or feet this is the reason why magnetic pedals benefit me "foot placement ". Would you say the stealth are strong enough to do a basic bunny hop?

    • @CalaveraChronicles
      @CalaveraChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stevenkurth3729 oh ok I see then yes the stealth are perfect for you. Once you do the proper adjustments and get use to setting your foot on the right place. The connection is hard enough to do bunny hops. I remember almost tipping over on the Fort Knox on the first ride lol.

      Both are good. It’s kinda like the iPhone android battle between the two. Both have what the other one needs lol. I’m now on the Fort Knox and those work the best for me. Magnetic pedals are far from perfect but they’re inching their way to it for sure.
