very interesting, I cycled to West Stow from the Pencsaeton land, and then through Ipswich and Harwich, and ferried the grey sea to Hooek and then rode across the flat estauries to Copenhagen as a Anglo Saxon reverse migration. The similarities in woodwork and gables and roofing and churches and ring cairns made a big impression on me, as did the humour and directness the folk I met. The hadleigh road, I fear, is a monster greater than anything a bard recited. I'll haveto check out Dorestad, as i'd not come across it before. Yours the Hound King of Wroxeter
