Yesssss, I love seeing other black girls venturing out and seeing new places. I wanted to study abroad in Korea too but due the costs I kinda of gave up on doing study abroad the traditional way so I decided to do a budget version. Currently I am taking online classes from my college in America while I am doing a working holiday in Korea. And finically I think it’s one of the best decisions I could have made and since I have some scholarships and found some cheap housing here I’m only gonna end spending a little over 5k for this semester in Korea (this is including everything except the flight).
Hii, just coming across this video. I’m really considering attending the Yonsei summer program next summer to try it out and considering actually staying for a whole year to study abroad and seeing more poc’s doing it makes me not feel alone in a sense if that makes sense lol.
your comment just made me really~ happy! I'm very glad that you don't feel alone 🤗🤗 and you should definitely do the summer program if you decide to do it!! you'll have so much fun!!
Hi. May I ask if studying Communications in Korea is relevant. I mean, would I find a tangible employment opportunity if I do a master’s in this course?
Hiieee :) I think it would be best to do some research and see what jobs are available to foreigners who have master degrees in Communication. I've been told by many though that knowing how to speak Korea will give you a leg up and provide you with much more job opportunities! Good Luck 🤗
Dang this is your only video! How is college going so far? I’m 33 and wanting to go to college there. I thought my age might be a problem and making a little bit of a living there.
hey! I'm not sure...there might have been. I mostly interacted with undergraduate students who were study abroad through a study abroad program or Yonsei's summer study abroad program. I'm sorry about not being too helpful :(
hiiiieee!! no worries...a first-generation student is a student who is the first out of their family to complete a 4-year bachelors degree in the US :)
