"Yan-the-man" is up down and all around and especially fun to watch at double speed. The air shaft may have been used to carry warm air from the room below since it has no smoke evidence or dark smoke stains.
There has to be art schools where you are. You should draft them to help with the chapel ceiling. As they must want to give students experience in restoration.
Insurance won't work in France if the employer is avoiding the required security and didn't obliged his employees to respect it. Even if the employee don't turn against his employer, the national health insurance will do .
I am so glad to see you are wearing protective gear! My husband died recently from COPD. Caring for someone who’s lungs are so damaged that they no longer work on their own, gives you a realization of how important it is to protect them.
Lost my mother to COPD. She had damaged lungs after repeated bouts of pneumonia. My brother also suffered with COPD. he was a rough/finish carpenter/contractor. We believe he damaged his lungs because he did not properly protect them. Sawdust, dust cement and sand can get into lungs when one forgets to mask. He was able to get a double lung transplant.
When Billy starts digging up an unknown void in the walls does anyone else hope he finds a treasure chest filled with gold to help pay for the convent remodeling?
Billie to see your dad working away with y’all is so heartwarming. How young is your dad? I look forward every day to see what’s next. America is watching.
Billy's famous last words, "it'll be expensive but it has to be done" so happy you're not needing to scrimp, and you can get it right and just how you want it 💪
We received our print from the organ restoration. It is beautiful. Michael is so talented. The print will hang in my office and will be a reminder of all of you who made the restoration happen. My husband and I enjoyed watching the progress. What a talented group.

I truly appreciate Simon reusing the insulation. The convent gets a facelift to recover the beauty it deserves and Simon provides new life to his home. Everybody benefits.
Only the Petherick crew can make hard work look so fun that the audience feels like they are missing out on a good time - and Alex films and presents your hard work as though it’s a party! Well done all - thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us!
The gallery needs to be wheelchair wide for access for the disabled that would enjoy the art gallery too. Lots done today Billy. Also Simon I loved hearing about how nails were handmade. It’s been so fun hearing all the bits and bobs of this old building. Wishing your parents a nice time away together and safe travels too. ❤❤❤
Access for the disabled isn’t possible until the decision is made to fix the elevator. As of now, this building is not accessible to those who can’t walk, Which is really, really unfortunate for them. It’s not fair.
@@nickandlaurihyde I am sure that Billy will eventually get the elevated up to code or whatever will be required. I do have faith in his ability to do what is required in all aspects of this huge project.
If I'm not mistaken, that chimney is precisely where the missing "cupola" was on that aerial photo of the convent. Also, I seem to recall when you were up in the small attic above the third floor, that there looked to be some stone feature right there.
Working for Billy is a little like deer hunting. The yellow vests let you know where everyone is. That way a wall or roof won’t be pulled down upon you. 😄 Papa Petherick standing up with the boys! 👏🏼👏🏼

Billy, I wonder if you've considered extending the sides of the dump bed on your truck. I had a similar situation where I added plywood sides and screwed wood at the bottom that slid over the aluminum sides of the bed. It tripled the capacity of my bed and reduced the number of tripe to the dump. They can be temporary.
I can't even imagine the costs involved in this project. I would think just looking at the invoices takes courage . I hope TH-cam in someway is helping pay for it, even a slight bit. The project is a beautiful dream and I really hope it becomes a reality.
May I compliment the Elder Mr. Petherick! It is a pleasure to watch you work alongside of your family and the others. Wishing you good health for a long time into the future.
Gosh, you guys have truly come on in leaps and bounds. Watching you demolish walls and think about ceilings reminds me of our (in a much smaller way) place and how many tons of "insulation" we had to remove. You are an excellent presenter Billy. I did wonder if, because of the proximity to the priest hole, if the void was part of an escape route from below the convent, or from a secret exit/entrance in the refectory to the outside. So someone could have used a wooden ladder, for example, to climb up from the basement to the priest hole.
Great job, but would have been better to turn the bottom of the rubble chute up like trouser legs than cutting it. Then it could have been used in other locations later
