This is such a beautiful video of Jinja City, Uganda, to savour. You’ve done a superb job capturing the essence of this beautiful gateway, vacation spot. I’ve never been to Jinja City before, but this video has convinced me that I must visit next time I travel to beautiful Uganda 🇺🇬 ❤ Love from Canada.
I know how it’s been able to happen this way… but that is a whole different conversation! Africa belongs to Africans period. Thank you for this video!❤️🔥🇺🇬
I live in jinja and almost every weekend i move around those places. They give me peace and tranquillity. But am disappointed some roads are not yet tarmacked. I love the food and the city is relatively cheap. Thank u for this video.
Jinja 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥁. Honestly, Jinja is so nice. I went there to do mission work and it was a blessing and my goodness, Rolex in Jinja is so yummy especially “Rolex Joint” 🥁👏🏾. Thank you for sharing. God bless you 🙏🏿.
So many memories on this one. We used to stay just above the golf course. At exactly the point you went off the road into the golf course. I wonder how my ex-home looks like. 😢 but i went to oboja road nursery school and then Victoria Nile PS. This was 37 years ago but Jinja is engraved in my heart ❤️
The architecture is old but is better than the new plain one we see nowadays and adds to the beauty of the villages. How I long for a return to the standardization of the street spaces to be that wide. That’s what you see in all old towns; Kololo, Nagulu, Bugonga, Boma, Kizungu in Masaka. Thank you for bringing these lovely videos to us.
Grew up in that area towards the sailing club on Kiira road house address, Plot 50, just behind our house is now a hotel owned by Migereko. I went to Narambhai Road Primary School under Mr Sserwanga administration. Alot has changed indeed, all those roads were tarmac back then, they had security lights lined up which used to come on by 6PM. I remember there was a huge open land expanse where an agricultural show used to happen, close by was Victoria Nile P.S. Then Dam Waters. I need to do a visit again.
Wow.... You have taken me down memory lane, I joined Naranbhai rd primary school in P.3 from Main Street P.Sch, went to Alliance nursery sch as well, I was in Jinja SS O-level & left for Nsambya for my A-levels, I used to stay that side of Kisinja rd & Nile Avenue near the Golf course & our flat had a very beautiful view of both lake Victoria & the Source of the Nile. Daily passed by Dam waters, Victoria Nile lower school on my way to school. Most of the people I grew up with are now in US, UK, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Scotland & some of us in Kampala which makes me feel Jinja has been reaped of it's children who could have helped in it's development. Luckily because of mymum I have a plot of land there & surely this vide has encouraged me to start developing it as soon as possible.
Hi. I'm highly impressed by your sense of judgment on the way our African culture keeps us behind in development and Asians come to our country and get developmentally ahead of us!!. My advice to Africans is families must start looking at their relatives as assets or resources not liabilities. They must stop having the attitude of being too individualistic and selfish and being focused on only personal development. If we change our attitude, the future will look more successful than it is now. Thank you for being thoughtful and selfless to educate our people. I'm a Ugandan Citizen in US. Patrick Serwanga.
Road looks new but Jinja city sanitation department needs to buy Sweeper trucks to remove and clean all those dead leaves and branches falling from sides road.
Lwaki twenyiga e Kampala, I would love to buy land in Jinja seems more like a better place than Kampala Matatu and boda boda everywhere especially on rainy days its all Uganda we can build and live anywhere
Well said, I already have a plot in Jinja & soon starting construction there. I'm already strategic & once the Kampala -Jinja express way is done, I will be using 5 days traveling to Kampala for business & Saturday & Sunday I'll be home in Jinja
The best place to invest, live and more secure place in Uganda. Check historically, that is the only place where no one can start a war. Those with resources, come and invest in Jinja
I'm just curious, why are so many African TH-camrs using the same type of headlines? Things like "The Rich Side of..." or "Where the Rich Hide." just stop it, only 0,0001 % of the demographic is considered of an economic upper social economic bracket and they are mostly Indians, Politicans, and Expats. As someone from the East African diaspora, born in Europe, I find it a bit odd. What's the psychology behind this lack of creativity among Gen Z East African TH-camrs? It feels as though everyone’s been taught that this is the way to title their videos. Is it perhaps an obsession with materialism, wealth, affluence, and tycoons? Or maybe there’s an underlying inferiority complex towards the Western, Asian, and Arab worlds running through the younger African generation? I honestly find it a bit sad. Let's take pride in who we are, rather than projecting an image of something we're not. Even these so-called "rich" neighbourhoods would be considered perfectly normal in places like Switzerland or Norway. We should strive to be more creative and avoid appearing desperate to be seen as developed when we're not quite there yet.
7:59 8:05 income disparity did not start with gen z. It's as old as history and will still exist worldwide. Not regarding that there some who have amassed wealth out of dubious political and other bad means. Gen zers wake up to work and keep trying
Very nice to see Jinja - but pity we did not see the source of the Nile too. Aside from that you seemed to blame African common man & woman for their lack of wealth. Yes its true that wealthy Indians ' keep it in the family ( but check out India to see poverty even more extreme than in Africa!)! In Uganda - historically out Africans have inherited poverty and disadvantage since colonial times - Whites on top with Indians and Africans locked into educational, resource & social capital oppression. Also what about the civil wars since Independence and the consequential loss of life , loss 'brains', experience, destruction of the investments in African communities. Brits and Indians left taking their resources with them. What type of person & what type of ethic has replaced them ? One only has to read books by Ngugu Wa Thiongo to find the answer. One only has to see the deeply entrenched corruption at all levels - mainly the elite levels. In terms of construction which has been mentioned as a source of wealth - why do government bridges fall down within months of construction? Why do recently built buildings collapse ? Why are roads reduced to quagmire ? Why do hospitals not have doctors / nurses? Why are medicines fake? Why are ambulances used to carry bananas to market? Why do women give birth in the street? Why do Africans have to give over part of their salary in payment to their recruiter instead of just giving their qualifications &. Experience ? Thats why they cant save. Why is it that government pensioners have not been allowed to receive their pension after decades of retirement after giving good service to their country and therefore have no money for their future or children's future. I could go on and on. Lets see how other less favoured & less developed areas of Uganda compare to Jinja. Maybe you can interview some fellow Ugandans and ask them these issues! Thats why we live hand to mouth - just staying alive!
Your mind is blinded theirs many common people in Africa are rich they farm, mining, business and are rich than politicians and all you know. Leave Africa alone okay.
I think the young lady wanted to say the parents engage them in the work they do. She just didn't know how to say it because the truth is once they are done with school, they go straight to work for the family company.
Stayed in Jinja for some years but honestly, that's what I tell people but they end up getting annoyed. Apart from the Nile, industries and less traffic, Jinja is so overrated especially if you've traveled to many other places.

Looks organised, quiet, and refreshing, but they need to clean up. The streets are not so well kept.
Actually the streets are well kept the rain and wind obviously will blow up leaves.😊😊
No way I found myself watching this video while walking to class...at Makerere. I love this channel ❤
Where i grew up, Jinja is so peaceful and organised love it so much

Damn, you have just convinced to add Jinja in my possible future residence! I only see chaotic downtown with narrow brown streets
That's just a quarter of the beautiful residentials in Jinja
This time round you have won my vote , but Jinja still has many more beautiful places ,if you want we can direct you

I need more info about that generational wealth and how it works. Do a deeper dive man.
Watching from Nairobi

The suburbs are so peaceful❤reminds me of somewhere 🙈

Pretty sure he will work on that I trust him can do better than that .....great observation though

Good adventure to me brother, however how did you end Kash's story, it happened to be that guy was lying a lot.

Nice videos. Those birds were coming for the drone.
😂😂 Thank you for watching and appreciating Ssebo

The prayer some times maybe disappoints them like " gives us today our daily bread "
I think the young lady wanted to say the parents engage them in the work they do. She just didn't know how to say it because the truth is once they are done with school, they go straight to work for the family company.
That's my home guys
its of investing and money teachings
But now some roads needs proper repairs and to be done based on the standard of the houses that are in that area
What is the name of the town?
Cities in Uganda are also villages!
Streets in the so called rich area of jinja was trashed up. I wish they had organised and fixed the street more neatly.
The first one here, 3 minutes after posting.
Thank you for the support
Do videos of Lira also
For sure we’re waiting for it 😊
your camera details please??
Govt abandoned this town it needs some headquarters and get more business
This Mr UG CONNECT this is brilliant just don't go to Mr Drive he knows zero about cars
Sorry, I didn’t see anything about this town that seems rich.
Stayed in Jinja for some years but honestly, that's what I tell people but they end up getting annoyed. Apart from the Nile, industries and less traffic, Jinja is so overrated especially if you've traveled to many other places.
So this is Runda estate of Uganda, okay
Agha Kan is not Ugandan
Guys, can we please not throw the word “city” around? It’s Jinja Town.
It’s a city, more organized than Kampala. Let that sink in you.
Jinja has been Gazetted a City. It's official now, that City Status is bestowed on it by Act of Parliament.
You're behind. For your education jinja was updated to city years ago
