I just bought this guitar waiting on its delivery!!! 37 years playing and my first MM! Beyond excited! I did just watch a video with him and he said it’s not a signature model, those are a unique shape which he is working on with MM. This is a modified Sabre which makes it’s an Artis series. Either way my SG may be collected dust for the foreseeable future! Great playing and demo.
Beautiful guitar and stunning playing, Nick. I’ve been a big fan of Rabea since the Dorje days so seeing him partner with my favourite guitar company is really quite something. I’ll be that guy patiently awaiting the Sterling version though - £4K is too much for me I’m afraid.
Does the neck feel like it's that much bigger than the standard Sabre? If you like the neck on the standard and ordered this one, would you still be happy with it, or is it that much of a difference that you could not like it?
I've had this guitar for 3 days and the first thing that threw me off was how fat the neck is, I was actually worried about hating it and thought I made a big mistake. That being said after a few hours of getting used to it I can't put the thing down and for certain can say it's the best and most versatile guitar I've owned.
@florian-pingu More wood to wrap your palm around, kinda like a 50's Tele and the string spacing is very neutral. It's still super comfortable and easy to play. I've also owned a Silhouette and Luke 3 which have similar necks to the Axis and after adjusting to this neck, I love it. Oddly enough my wrist doesn't seem to have a lot of strain with this neck and find myself being able to play for longer as well.
I am here to show support and enjoy Nick's playing. That said, I have to point out that the Ball family starved George Fullerton and Leo Fender out of Music Man such that said duo went on to create G&L Guitars: the 4+2 headstock, two-point vibrato bridge, and the Sabre model predate the Ball family. More recently, EBMM's "Game Changer" was taken without consent from PMT's Guitar Max system.
YOU'RE PLAYING IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, AS ALWAYS! I've never met a music man I didn't like!!!!!!!!!! They are ALL ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR! THEY'RE THE FERRARIS AND LAMBORGHINIS OF GUITARS!!!!!!!!!! I still don't know why, however, that 24 frets is not the standard!!!!!!!!!!
@@anthonyjacukowicz8456 no, I didn't mean that about HIM, personally... I just mean as a general standard construction. Once you go from 21 to 22 frets, you don't want to go back! Going to 24... Also, no going back! Kind of goes back to the old saying "better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it!"
@@timnotbrianmay Additional frets push the neck pickup closer to the bridge. If you like the sounds of a pickup placed where the 24th fret would be, you don't want 24 fret guitar.
@@KevinBroce I don't know if that's really SUCH a big deal... I would think that Seattle's would be able to be adjusted compensate for that during design and construction; I have a 24 fret guitar with three single oil pickups, and the placement is JUST FINE 😺😺!!!
Maybe buy a shirt that fits? 🙂 Great review

Interesting. Would like to see a T style, would be something different for EBMM as well unless you count the Axis.

Can this guitar handle some heavier stuff ( no lower than drop C) , like some gnarly riffs? Cuz I see Bea only playing lead stuff with this guitar
Although I don’t own one, from what Bea has said on socials it comes tuned to drop C. He almost exclusively uses that tuning.
Lovely looking guitar

@florian-pingu mine is just above 8lbs, on the heavy side but still comfortable enough to play live.
Been waiting for this one
Why is it satin finish T.T
why the neck on vileblood is not maple birdseye T_T
It is, just roasted
I love mine

Business is War, who cares they are awesome guitars!

Rabea doesnt use 24 frets, he explains it in one of his namm interviews
