Another great video review and tour of NY. I appreciate how much information you pack into your reviews and yet deliver everything in an easy going format. I know it isn't as easy as you make it seem but it always looks like you just grabbed a camera and went for a walk. Keep up the great work!
I normally lurk on your videos and just enjoy your quality with a simple like. But man, that anc test was so thoughtful and well sourced. To acquire an ear and determine how to give all the sauce was great. I'm sticking with my 4s only because Sony replaced my battery for free after the battery drain issue.
You dint have to tap 4 tomes to e Adjust each volume level. After you tap 4 times , u can just keep taping, and it will go up a small notch each tap. It's actually nice because u can go up in smaller notches, so it's more precise.
My biggest complaint with the xm4's was that the earbud tips broke down so easily and have to be replaced fairly frequently, which is particularly annoying because of how expensive they already were. It doesn't look like they changed the material, and that's a bit disappointing. Its almost as though I need a subscription to use them the way they were intended
I enjoy these videos from you the most! The only thing I'd like to see are follow up videos like a year out of devices YOU keep. I like the size of the WF XM4s, as I can put them in my ears and take them out with ease unlike my linkbus that get the tips stuck. Some of the biggest problems I've run into with the WF xm4s and linkbuds are single ear bud battery drain issues and in the case of the linkbuds "static" in one ear bud with ANC is enabled. Doing hardware resets don't allow the issues to go away permanently and firmware updates at times have made it worse. The irony is my headphones the xm3 and xm5s don't experience ANY of these types of issues. I would like a revised version of the wf-xm4s personally as small only creates issues for me.
Another fantastic video David, really like the looks of the new one as a buds pro owner I couldn't get on with the size of the XMs before they looked massive in comparison to my buds pro. The price though! Wow! You can get into Nothing 2s or buds pro 2 for so little these days. I think you have to be a commited music guy that wears two buds all the time. Seem a hefty price tag.
that mic in earphone test was picking up too much background noise with the earbuds plugged in.. maybe it needed a better seal where the mic is attached?
Great video. You informed me about earbuds and made me want to visit a 🇨🇴 coffee shop and 🇮🇪 restaurant in a city I’ve never visited all in the same video. For that, you earned a subscriber.
I was going to buy the XM5 earbuds because of the little case but tapping 4 to adjust the volume is just a no go for me. I ended up getting the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds despite the case being a little bigger. Thanks for a great comparison!
Am I tripping or were the nothing ear 2's the clearest of them all on the voice test? Let me go to the tech draw and dust them off lol. Oh and good on you for rocking the pixel fold.
I personally liked the xm4 If i wasnt cursed by the oddly common battery issue thankfully i managed to return them I hope they wont fuck up with xm5 but i am still on the fence about buying these
The old design I did not mind they actually sent my ears just fine but I use a different ear tips the foam ear tips just don't do it for me every size is too big or too small I got the The X-M5 and it's the same way so I have to use my XM3 tips rubber with the XM5
Please answer my question I can't use spatial audio/ wireless charging/ head tracking Now , which one should I get ? Link buds s at 100$ Xm 5 at 200$ Should I pay double, when they don't last for more than 2 years and I can't even use spatial audio which is the main selling point, without spatial audio will the xm5 sound much much better than link buds s ?
Does anyone has the same issue? when I'm walking with XM5's left earbud is making distorted bass, like deflated driver. when I'm still it sounds great.
If it wasn't for the price, man some of the features are pretty amazing 8 hours is good enough, also you mentioned swipe to change the volume, I didn't know some headsets do that, what do you think also about using a wired connection between the case and audio source to be able to connect to the earbuds with low latency and good audio quality? I have a cheap headset that does that and it's wonderful, not great audio quality but allow me to avoid pairing and I am able to Connect to a PS5
I feel like these popular wireless audio products lack customization options that their wired alternatives have. For 200-300 usd i would except them to ship not only 4 eartips of different sizes but also of an extra pair made of a different material. Almost all of these look so plain and boring , atleast give us some nice looking desgins , etchings , textures etc. I don't think this last one will happen but since TWS are basically e-waste after 2-3 years since the battery dies , an option to use a detachable cable with these earbuds to use them in wired mode would be great. Most IEMs have this feature.Or atleast improve battery backup from normal 4-5 hrs with anc to something like7-8hrs ( without case)
Thank you, a nice review. Is there anyone that believes the XM5 have truely disappointing noice cancelling. I returned my set to Sony who did an update, something I had already done and performed a reset. I initially thought there was a bit of an improvement. However, this morning I compared them with the new Bose Ultra and Jabra 10 with firmware update. Using the shower extractor fan as background noise the Bose almost completely blocked out the fan, the Jabra did a respectable job but way way behind were the Sonys. The Sonys barely able to negate the sound of air conditioning. On an airplane, next to useless. Save your money and go for the Bose, better in every respect.
I have the wf-1000xm4 love the sound but hate the fit I think I have small ears my friend at work has the wf-1000xm5 he loves them so I think I'm going to switch to the wf-1000xm5 they should fit my ears better on the wf-1000xm4 I had to switch the ear tips just to get a better fit but the ear tips I got only last a few months (they are foam) but even though it's a better fit I just think the wf-1000xm5s will fit better I have a pair of samsung buds pro 2 and they fit like a pillow but I want the sound of the sony's
Sir i just love your work, Plz come to india(bharat) And do some real life review.. You are not just a tech youtuber, you are techie+vlogger+the teacher who want to teach student in presence of nature.. Love you from india, Plz come to india..... I will pray for your family health...
Im Still Happy whit my Ear 2 sound quality for me is amazing and the battery life whit anc is ok one i wish from every company who makes Headphones make it louder i need more 😎
the mics are really bad...were u testing these on the streets at 3am or something when its quieter than ur room lol I find it so hard to understand why reviewers dont give "geniuine reviews". Mic in noisy conditions - its terrible!
Great video as always. Always happy to see a new video pop up! 👍 For the ANC test I would recommend to include the real ANC king in the comparison - the Bose qc earbuds II (or even the ultra version). I have a pair and their ANC is just ridiculously good. 🦻 Thanks!
Nice to hear about call quality, biggest gripe with previous generations

I'm I the only one who also said " coffee check" every time watching his review?
Doesn’t everyone say it?
That earbud test in the ear-mic was really cool haha
Fabulous video, as always. These are fast becoming my favourite tech review videos on You Tube, as I love the format. All the best for the 2024.
Just got back from spending Christmas in New York City, was hoping to spot you filming a Real World Test. 😂
Always wondered how I sounded on calls with the pixel buds pros, pretty impressed honestly!

And given that Sony doesn't sell authentic earbud replacements in most countries, it's extra odd.
The return of THE EAR! Equal favourite guest star alongside @TheMrMobile Always enjoy your videos!
When did you film this? I refuse to belive that NY in December looks like this.
Yoooo Another Day In The Life Review 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Hope you enjoyed it!

What are your favorite buds? Great video!
Mic quality sounds great

Hey could you please check vivo x200 pro, as it seems to be alot more promising than I thought! Please?

You ain’t trippin
You are not tripping the nothing 2 has sick audio quality they are the ones I'm buying
Listening to this video with my wf-1000xm5s and just had one of my earbuds fall out today into a puddle luckily everything seems to be ok.
I personally liked the xm4
If i wasnt cursed by the oddly common battery issue thankfully i managed to return them
I hope they wont fuck up with xm5 but i am still on the fence about buying these
Why tf does Sony think 4 taps is better than swipe for volume? Pixel buds pro does it perfectly. So accurate
Heard it's a major upgrade because the last model was defective. It had a hollow pitched sound.
The old design I did not mind they actually sent my ears just fine but I use a different ear tips the foam ear tips just don't do it for me every size is too big or too small I got the The X-M5 and it's the same way so I have to use my XM3 tips rubber with the XM5
Which one sounds better, this Sony? Or Samsung galaxy buds 2 pro?
Samsungs any earbuds can't be compared with Sony's any product...
Buds 2 pro are so cheap, that last year samsung was selling them for about 70$ ...brand new ...
I heard there's been a mix of battery complaints with previous gens. Is this one fine or i should stick to my galaxy buds 2 pro
Please answer my question
I can't use spatial audio/ wireless charging/ head tracking
Now , which one should I get ?
Link buds s at 100$
Xm 5 at 200$
Should I pay double, when they don't last for more than 2 years and I can't even use spatial audio which is the main selling point, without spatial audio will the xm5 sound much much better than link buds s ?

Why arent you comparing this with Galaxy Buds 2 Pro?
great video! yours is always the factor (and at times, the clincher that convinces) I consider when I'm thinking of purchasing a particular gadget
Call quality is below average when you in the noisy place. Lets say on the street next to moving cars
Whoa! The Ear model is good at replicating at in ear experience. It's really awesome tho

Nice! ☕✅ before the end of the year.
Ha thank you for coming to watch!
Have yiu patented that ear David?.. 🤔

Call quality at crowded surroundings is worse. A white noise is there during the calls.
You not the Unlockr .when noise is present you are LOCK hahahah
Great Review on the ear buds and Great Android Phone Team Pixel Fold.
Not over impressed with those, my Apple Studio beat buds have more speech clarity and better noise cancellation. In my humble opinion of course.
Great video, thanks!
Thank you for this! I just ordered them, great review!

Surprisingly nothing ear 2 microphone is good
the mics are really bad...were u testing these on the streets at 3am or something when its quieter than ur room lol
I find it so hard to understand why reviewers dont give "geniuine reviews". Mic in noisy conditions - its terrible!
I love mine and way better than Apple AirPods
Return of the ear!
airpods works better on ANC
1000xm5 pathetic noice cancellation on call bullshit
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
Sony broke my xm4’s with a software update and wants me to pay the repair because it’s past the warranty. It’s a joke. Sony never again
