Well done re your eye surgery Stacey. I know what you mean about being both excited and nervous. I recently donated one of my kidneys to my 31 year old daughter. I think most of my nervousness was, would it work. Good news is that I am fully recovered and my daughter is doing very well.
I had cataract surgery several years ago. I got a DVD of my surgery. It is very weird to watch, knowing it is your own eye! And so quick, all of 7 minutes! But it’s so amazing to have perfect vision for the first time in my life. And, because I’m over 50, I just need readers for close up.
Stacey, you just gave me a big dose of hope! I had a corneal ulcer about 6 years ago, and after I recovered from it, my eye doctor told me I couldn't wear contact anymore which was such a blow! I've just started re-wearing contacts after getting permission last year, so I'm hoping I will be eligible for laser surgery someday as well! So happy you got it done and you're loving your new sight. :)
This makes me SO happy! I can completely relate to that feeling, it's horrible. Amazing that you've started re-wearing contacts, I'm crossing my fingers for you that laser surgery is in your future. Stay positive ❤️
I enjoyed Aitutaki on my 6th visit to the Islands in 2003. The lagoon is spectacular and the Vaka cruise excellent. It was warmer than Raro but the Mosquito plague worse. Cheers guys from Philip in Melbourne and lockdown no.5 for us.
