GildedGuy’s animations manage to bring so much life into the world of Cier that I don’t think any other stick animator has been able to do. His style is truly unique and if you ask me he’s almost up there with Genndy Tartakovsky in terms of show don’t tell.
dude, what is their not to love about gildedguy, his art and story telling and animation is just amazing. my favorite kind of story's are the ones where no one talks because we you do that the person that is seeing the story is gets to decide what they are think or what they want to do from their body language and face expressions, and that is what he does. gildedguy is a 10/10 animator highly recommend you check him out

To me I think the story is kinda lacking but at the end of the day I wouldn't make a video on someone if I didn't think they were worth checking out. He is so talented, I just don't want the video to be only compliments you know? Theres gotta be some constructive criticism somewhere.
@@iAnimate38 Seems to be about fighting most of the time. Gildedguy is talented and passionate, but there needs to be more than just that... Ya know? Pacing is a big thing and budgeting screentime for something else.

He sync's music with animation at best. When the drop goes down the animation shines at peak. Another dude on the internet I would say you could "Do Your Self a Favor" and watch him would be AIROAH. Also nice video and hold on a second... THEY HAD A WORLD?? I need to start animating more.

@@iAnimate38 cier itself is pretty new as far as stick figure animation history goes, a lot of characters and creators referenced in story come from RHG which was started iirc a bit over a decade ago created by Stone when there wasnt even a world at all, just the characters and animations. Gildedguy's most recent story animation is basically a huge love letter to all those old legends from those times.

I will say as far as the story goes it tends to make more sense when you look at it from the perspective that it’s a representation of Michel Moys actually journey as a creator. There’s so much symbolism some of which you can only find by going frame by frame! Even if you’re not into deep diving details they’re still beautiful and entertaining to watch even without any context

You definitely did your homework better than I :D By the way, I learned about these animations through Crowne Prince's channel. It's a variety animation channel and more specifically the Scribble Kibble series on there talks about a lot of great animations and goes somewhat in depth on how they were (likely) created and what makes them so interesting.

Gildedguy is a MASSIVE inspiration, and I too want to get into this stuff using a hand-drawn style that music-syncs the story and scene progression more than the actual fight choreography itself. I've still got a long ways to go though; I don't even really have my foot in the door with the community yet. But I'm at least trying to practice and work on some projects to get the hang of it.

I always loved that GildedGuy draws every single frame and often doesn't rely on tweens.
He's such a master of his own work - It's weird because it looks rough but at the same time so detailed.
He used tweens before. Notably in gilded Vs bog he tweened dropping on the grass when he was exhausted
