The screen pass is not DJs fault. That’s Daboll play calling. Inside your own ten and you come out in a trips wide formation and motion the outside receiver into a diamond formation and call a screen. Everybody saw that coming.

@@sheldonf coverage pre and post snap are two very different things. Vikings disguised 60% of their coverages, regardless it was a horrible play call. Not on Daniel jones at all
@@bigslime2235 Yes, everyone saw it coming. So why didn't Jones call time out or change the play? He threw the ball so it is partly on Jones. Nobody can defend DJ's play. Not even you.
Patty…you’re always my first listen no matter how the season goes.
I’m so disappointed in the Giants. It’s gotten to the point where I cannot even watch anymore bc I cringe when Jones takes the field. I will always be a fan but I need to take a pause until the Giants can regroup and improve even if it means getting a new regime.
Hi Patty, The first QB I remember is Charly Conerly so, i have seen the worst and best of the Giants. I consider myself lucky to have witnessed their super bowl successes. Currently, the Giants are on a slide similar to what happened back in the 70's following the firing of HC Allie Sherman. Many, many bad years followed. DJ is running scared behind his OL, I am convinced after seeing him run into opposing players last sunday. This situation is, unfortunately unfixable IMHO. Daboll should sit Jones indefinitely and go with Lock or DeVito or pick up a veteran QB like Bridgewater or Zappe until Schoen can use next year's draft to get HIS QB. I picked the Giants to win only 4 games this year, they may not even win that many if this continues. What a shame.
I am so disappointed. I really thought the Giants would look good on Sunday. The way they came out made me question if they can really win any game. This is a really bad look for Daboll and I do believe in him as the coach. Smh. This is my first season that I am not going to 3 games because it's too hard to drive home after games like that one. The time and effort I put into my tailgate plus all the money I put out, it's not worth it if they are going to play like that. Then I have to go to work and avoid talking football with my eagles and cowboy coworkers.
Jones now has more Pick 6's (3) than TD passes to his own team (2) since being massively rewarded for 1 mediocre season
Big time players --- that make big time plays --- in big time games ---- make big time $$$$$.
Jones has done all of that.

@@Matt90541 When was that? What is his record since then? How many To)s vs TD's? And since Jones fangirls LOVE bringing up 2022 lets discuss it shall we? Barely 3k passing, barely 200 yds a game passing, 15 passing TD's 22 total. 16 QB's that year THREW more TD's than Jones had total. Was 2-5-1 over the second half when Barkley, the actual talent on the team was banged up. Yes, he won a PO game, against arguably the worst PO defense in history and then was absolutely CURB STOMPED by the Eagles and every team since besides Arizona where he needed a miracle comeback vs one of the worst teams in the league last year. Never ending excuses for a 1 read QB that IN YEAR SIX can't read D's, can't make adjustments to the line, can't call audibles, can't lead targets, can't throw accurately past 10 yds. When the team wins, Jones fangirls "OMFG JONES IS THE BESTEST QB EVER!!!!" Same fangirls when the team loses "IT'S EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ELSE'S FAULT BUT JONES!!!" This fanbase is a joke

Why the Giants didn't take Penix jr is beyond me! Top 3 qb pocket passer with some mobility in the pocket and pre and post snap read potential as a rookie!😮

The best thing that can happen to the Giants is that Daniel Jones plays like he did the previous week for the next four weeks so they can pull the plug and look towards the future because the worst thing that Daniel Jones has done to this franchise is be horrible and then look average Enough sometimes to make us all think he’s better than he is. That’s why he got the contract that he got because he was so bad that when he put one average quarterback season together that he fooled us all into believing that he is a good quarterback when he’s not. All it showed was that he ceiling is average quarterback and that’s why the Giants need to move on regardless of whether he shows himself to be in average quarterback again because an average quarterback like Sam Darnold shouldn’t be getting paid $40 million a year.
If we go 2-15 ... that'd be lucky

Look, we saw how incompetent DJ was in game one. Jones’ teammates know better than anyone, who can play and who cannot. If they believe Jones cannot play, how do they react to their coach saying, “ a QB change is not contemplated.”
Because it's only week 2. Once DJ is benched, you'll never see him behind center again in a giants uniform. Can't wait.
