As someone who is overweight I was worried about trying pilates. It always seemed v unwelcoming to bigger ppl. But honestly I'm so glad I tried it. The low impact is great since I have a previous knee injury, and this works out my core, legs and hips so well which has really helped with working out in general as a bigger person. Helps me feel more stable and therefore more able to do active stuff. 👍👍 so thank you! Also leaving this comment if there are any other bigger ppl skimming the comments trying to decide if they should try it!

I'd like to add to this too!! I fell behind on my fitness routine during a very long, difficult move & felt it would be best to slide back into it with something new & beginner-friendly. It caught me by surprise a lil bit bc I always imagine pilates to look like the classes for elderly people, but it actually challenged me just enough to get my body a good stretch without scaring me away. I'll definitely be finally purchasing the yoga mat I've been putting off getting for so long, though. 😅

I’m 6 months late but I’m just now starting your videos- this was my first one and it was amazing- I’m about to be 27 but I have a lot of joint pain and a back injury from a car accident, I’ve been wanting to build my strength back and I feel like Pilates would be great… thank you so much and keep on scatting and humming lol
I have been consistently doing your beginners videos since June 1st with maybe a one day break in between every now and then. I use to crumble at a table top position and was unable to do one push up. Now I can see the difference in my strength. Thank you for your videos!!

I am so happy to have found your channel. I absolutely love the slow and precise body work. I have never been a huge fan of extreme load bearing workouts or fitness plans that require you to practically kill yourself in order to “feel the burn”. When my sister and I were young girls my mother introduced us to an exercise style call Callanetics. That woman had a beautiful dancer’s physique although she was an older woman. She was proof that that you can maintain a slim yet strong physique at any age. Your videos remind me a lot of her exercise style though you are much younger I can see that you will age gracefully and lovely. So looking forward to working out with you more. It’s been only a week but I have been doing one of your vids a day ranging from beginner to intermediate. You are an amazing instructor!!!

Having never done Pilates before I was worried that I would hurt myself but this was great! I was a little shaken but once I found a breathing rhythm I loved it!!
I have just found your videos and am so glad I did. I am very new to pilates and although I found this tough (my body was pushing back after 10 mins) I think if I continue, ill get stronger and get some flexibility back 🤞🏾
