This guys a legend, I'm gonna try mine today I did try yesterday but panel is a ball ache, also bear in mind when the ecu unit go faulty they do flatten the battery, so don't buy new battery. Fix ecu then charge main battery I'm going to attempt the soldering myself as I do have basic soldering skills, and going to keep an close eye on relay, I'm only doing it myself as the owner of this video has given me the confidence, but let's get this crappy ecu unit out first, remember to switch the airbag switch to off and then disconnect battery, Thank you once again to the creator of this video, he should be very proud of himself.
Hello! How did you get on? I'm am attempting this fix with my brother tomorrow. However we aren't soldering, we are just taking out the ECU and plugging a new (second hand) one in. I'd love any extra advice if you have any 😊
Ball ache to get out, didn't attempt to solder as it was complicated to get chip out, so plugged a replacement in from scrapyard in for £40 and it worked took me few hrs though to fit in I took steering off after disconnecting battery terminals so airbag doesn't go off then had to drill a hole left of steering to get to a Phillips screw, as I couldn't get to the top bolt off to the unit. But easy fitting back as u leave top bolt off.
Many thanks 👍 quoted £600 for part Eurocarparts...went to scrap yard £20! Was able to remove thanks to your video, I used a crushed can to keep the gap open while using my socket with extension bar 😉

I have an issue with my PS module it does the same thing it works sometimes and sometimes doesn’t. I can hear my PS module make a fast and consistent clicking noise when it’s off but I’m not quite sure if it is the relays. Please help 🥲

I believe that the the power steering temperature goes higher and power steering stops itself 🤔 what do you think? *P.S : wen I cool down the power steering in water hose hes starts works normally 😐 *P.S 2 : wen The Power steering works the steering wheel is very very easy to Spin and light and fast. Hi Iv got a 207 and Iv been having problem With power steering getting the code fo47 all fuses are fine and that could you tell Me were the modula is on the 207 thanks so I can give it a look over thanks
Hi. The 207 i believe is different. The 207 if im not wrong is something to do with the motor, the motor is located on the steering rack. it burns out and needs to be replaced. You need to plug a scanner and see what fault comes up.
@@martingallagher4936 yes that's what i was talking about, yours is different. The motor is attached to the steering rack failed. Its easy to replace, under the car behind the sump you can see the motor and module together, get a part with the same part number, fit in delete the codes and you ready to go 😊 don't need remove the rack to replace the motor unit 😊

I have this problem with my peugeot 107.PS on all the time.No power steering.I checked battery at 14.1 100% and alternator 75%.Taking car in to my garage to do diagnostics.
Taking out the 40amp fuse gets the P/S to go away and steering to work for a few rides, so does taking off the battery for a few hours, I want to know if this fix lasted after this video or it only worked cause you disconnected the battery for a few rides ?
The battery didn't help on this fix. Battery disconnected after connect back last 1 minute then gives error again. Since that video the car still drives with no problems. I service this car every year. The clutch was replaced last year also. Happy days 😊
@@axores20 i soldered everything and it worked for 2 days, it's bad again =( , how much do used ECUs cost from where you order if you know? They asked 160€ from the junkyard ...
@@LykeArgy hi. Are u sure you solder everything nicely? Also is good after that procedure to recalibrate the angle sensor. Connect a diagnostic tool and perform it. Should help.
@@axores20 don't have a tool but the solders seemed fine to me, i'm no pro tho, that was maybe my 5th time soldering, i could take it off and get it to an electronic repair shop to have them solder it 100% properly but who knows if that would fix it, it could be that one of the parts are damaged, i didn't see any burn marks tho

IT WORKS.
Just resoldered the relays, and the P/S works again.

If your alternator is doing good then u have the same issue i did have with toyota. They share the same electrics with peugeot and citroen.
how do you remove it though???
It's tricky because of the plastics of the dash, if u can remove the plastic from the dash it will be easier to remove it.

Its a box 🤣🤣 it's called power steering wheel module or relay module unit. ☺️
