La Big Band de la UJI se ha consolidado como proyecto educativo y musical después de ocho años de trabajo constante. Por la agrupación, referente del Espacio de Jazz del Servicio de Actividades Socioculturales, han pasado gran número de estudiantes de la Universidad, del conservatorio y profesionales del jazz. Desde hace cuatro años presentan su trabajo por Navidad con la alegría que representa el primer concierto después del comienzo de cada curso académico. Un repertorio variado que apunta a los diferentes estilos que el gran género del jazz ha desarrollado.

Awesome band. So much ensemble talent and soloists. The bass player and drummer are tight throughout.
I've seen videos of Andrea singing and playing with the SAJB when she was still a teenager, and already the "star" of the band, but this is the kind of performance I hadn't pictured her doing for another ten years or so: a traditional, simple setting with an impressive big band. I'm thrilled to see her doing this at the tender age of 21! And I'd imagine that singing an entire program of songs not in her native language must still be a challenge. Maybe not-- she's already an old pro at that.

bonne prestation à la trompette: claire et précise ... LE CHANT AUSSI devient plus net et plus affirmé : le progrès est maintenant évident : elle grimpe la petite et c'et tant mieux : c'est la récompense de toutes ses années de travail et ce n'est que juste. C'est vraiment très bien Andrea . Maintenant, il faut que tu travailles ta présence en scène et ne pas te contenter de plonger ton petit nez dans tes partitions entre deux morceaux . Tu dois aussi devenir comédienne quand tu es sur les planches !!!! Eh oui , c'est un métier très difficile quand on veut l'assumer le mieux possible, mais rassure-toi, le plus gros du travail est fait......ça roule .......

Andrea, even in that plain dress makes the band leader look insignificant.....to me, no offense intended ....Joan has done a very admirable job, dedicated to development of these young musicians like Andrea..... I have no talent, except to recognize real talent, it may be time for Andrea or Joan to engage a personal trainer for her, to concentrate on her goals.
Thats what makes them real and endearing. They dont have the artfice of a show business personality...I think thats a beautiful dress she is wearing...she is a strikingly beautiful woman!
Not so sure what kind of personal trainer you feel she needs. She seems to have her goals well in hand--to play and sing jazz around the world for the rest of her career, for the love of the music.
Andrea always sounds great but she would sound so much better with a better band.Tempos are way off on these charts. and the arrangements are drowning out the vocals. not the best. ean to me was plodding has to be bright. And the soundmixing is not right either. Joan does a better job.
UJI Big Band is a cultural university workshop aimed both at amateur and professional musicians, students and interested public
+Universitat Jaume I think it could be greatly improved without much work if you kept your tempos more accurate to the writing in general a bit faster.

Andrea is a great and versatile jazz singer with the right soul feeling in her DNA I would be very pleased to hear and see her live performances soon (but without speaking Catalan please) - Buon Natale - Feliz Navidad - Bon Nadal - Joyeux Noël - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2017 to the Musicians and to all the You Tube world
The extra joy of Andrea's music is that she is so natural, does not try to rely on 'glaming up', it's just about the music, and she gets better and better.

Hola. El concierto está grabado en la Universitat Jaume I de Catellón de la Plana (Comunidad Valenciana. España). El idioma es valenciano, que es oficial junto al español. :) Saludos.
En una variante del idioma catalan que se llama valenciano.
