My theory:- the main culprit is that women who called police and identified herself Susan , and maybe she also gave lift to Susan and during returning she kidnapped her and murdered her to steal Susan's unborn child in professional way and this confirms that lady was a doctor

Might be that grocery store guy and that lady who called police are partner in crime. Grocery store guy were used to give tip to her lady partner about the targets. It's very easy to gain trust of any person by a lady.
